Wish I could get the dvd of this concert. It was on UA-cam for a while and it’s fantastic! First I saw of him was Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. How he’s grown musically!!
The are only 2 great people to come from NCISNOLA , Lucas Black to continue his film career and Gary Clark , Jr. There were a lot of season's when he was a street musician and he played his music, and Scott Bakula always said "Gary how you doing?" Gary always had lines to respond. Gary and his band played live in the bar too. He is admired and respected. Not to mention a fantastic guitarist ✌❤🌻

@@shaynefrost8946 I have watched others where he has played lead. His guitat playing is adequate at best--nowhere near his vocal ability songwriting abilty and his passion for what he does. That he's not a virtuoso lead guitarist does not take away at all. He is as I said, fantastic. The people who love him and go see him are getting their money's worth. JUst don't go there expecting another Stevie Ray or Jimi Hendrix. There's more to his perfomance than how he plays guitar.
Also: Check out what Gary himself says about his guitar playing in a Vanity Fair interview a few years back: "G.C.: I know that I’m capable of moving around on the guitar. I can express myself the way I want to and feel good about it. But as far as technical chops, I’m not a learned musician." Vanity fair 11/13/2012, interviewed by Lisa Robinson

I think Gary is fantastic. He's not a great guitarist but doesn't have to be. That's why he's got the other guy. Very wise. Good luck Gary.
