Just from the beginning this story just made me uneasy and sad. Horrible beginnings definitely help shape people doing horrible things, but just as you stated (and has been supported in research), children with traumatic upbringings can and DO live fulfilling lives without continuing the trauma (approximately 50%). This is all such a somber situation that I hope can be solved justly.
Been following you for a few years now (since 2016) and I always look forward to your videos. You do a fantastic job researching for them and getting even better with your editing and overall filmmaking. :)

What is equally infuriating and tragic is how these rappers from murder heavy areas- Chicago, Detroit, Jacksonville, Baltimore, New Orleans, and on and on fall into this lifestyle. It's quite often not even a choice, but a necessity just to survive and try to thrive. Many like Melly have gift for music and songcraft..... But so many "fans" seem to want the behind the scenes drama as much as, if not more than the music itself. This creates this feedback loop where even when music creates opportunity to get out, the need to be "real", coupled with loyalty to those who don't have means to leave keeps them from being able to disconnect from that life. Fans need to stop pushing for death and grisly details and support artists when they make moves to get themselves and their loved ones out of those situations.
In no way, in no lifetime, in no situation is a life of murder "a necessity". That has got to be THE worst example of shit excuses I've ever heard for poor choices.

I recently found your channel and I like your content. For some reason I only recently heard of this kid and his charges. Going by the evidence stated, it's pretty obvious to me that he committed these murders. What I'm wondering is why? I can't find much about the victims. Everything is focused on this punk and whether or not he will write more lyrics while locked up.

Focus it into art. Music is great therapy. Get yourself a copy of FL Studio or Ableton and a MIDI keyboard and start producing music. The markets a bit saturated at the moment but of you're unique you can make a good living off it, especially as a producer. Artists come and go but if you can produce then your skills are always in demand.
A video on Elliott Smith? Bet that would get a ton of views. Granted there are plenty videos about him but a super fascinating human being and a fantastic musician that has inspired countless musicians.

As someone who has listened to goth and metal all my life, even I find rap music to be overly negative.
Wasn't supposed to be like this. We have dark rappers for this reason(and honestly, I think they're so much better then these wanna be gore/horror rappers). This newer generation of artist (over the years) has been mixing everything in instead of stay in the categories made. Rap now honestly just sounds/smells like a group of cows taking a ish. It all stinks right now.
Imagine writing off an entire massive genre with forty years of history and many different subgenres and styles like this.
