Pretty cool lil amp, not a fan of the dynamic power rating thing tho. Kinda gimmicky tbh but at least you dont have to look for the actual rms numbers in small print somewhere. Great review!
Never fails. Klunker always comes thru with absurdly mediocre gear. But hey, they have their lane and they stay in it. (Yes, I know I typed Klunker instead of Kicker. It seems more fitting. )
I installed 2 of the PXA1000.5 and 1 PXA600.1 in my Can-Am Maverick X3 Max. They are awesome amps and hold up to brutal conditions! My only complaint is the power/ground connectors are not great considering they want 1/0 feed cables. I'm using a Wetsounds dist block, so I don't need them anyways.
Dont have a problem with dynamic power numbers on the box since that is realistic achievable number and that can be tested on the amp dyno, the max power numbers some amps advertise on the other hand are made up marketing BS numbers.
Yeah, typo. The KXA line is discontinued, but they are working on a replacement line for those amps. It's just the normal covid related delays getting new products to market.
Wow, at first I was bit let down by the difficulty of repair. I would definitely not try to repair this myself, but instead send it in to Kicker. I don't even know how Kicker is able to do repairs. Then I was confused by the 4 ohm and 2 ohm specs being the same 100w. How? That is some great technology there. I hope Kicker will explain a little bit about how that was accomplished. Maybe it can be incorporated in other amplifier designs. Then the sub amp power at high or low voltage. Holy cow! Super impressive. Imagine this amp also incorporating KEY dsp technology. Maybe a car version without all the extra sealant. You'd have a whole system in one little box. 😊
My experience on repairing pcb. Those coils get hot and will break off in an upside down configuration. Yes you have to hot glue or epoxy them. Thanks for the review!

Wow, that little dude is a powerhouse

Very impressive for the size

Never explain the punchline. It helps weed them out.

Hey , the amp chassis IS technically a box .
Pretty good performance for such a tiny contraption .
Hell of an amp kicker made.
Kicker FTW
that's amazing unboxing,=)
Helluva deep dive for an unboxing!!!!!!!

Thanks for doing real world voltage. I’d love to see near 12.5v (or even lower) as I’m a boater
Ahhhh the thumbnail gave me false hopes of a higher powered KXA 5 channel
Yeah, typo.
