Vlogging with the Sony A7iii and 24-70 GM

- Hey guys! I thought before I started to put out regular travel content i'd give you a small smorgasbord of clips so you can get an idea of what i've been up to! I've travelled through Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Munich, Vienna, Edinburgh, Copenhagen and Stockholm. I've met up with the Traverse crew, met a street artist who's alter ego is a puppet and eaten far to much (you can honestly watch me get chubby in the vlogs :S)

hey, how do you vlogging yourself without the flipdisplay?
It's honestly a bit of a pain - I always try to focus myself in the middle of the frame if I'm going hand held. If I'm doing a static shot then I typically have to place the camera down, record myself and then quickly look at the footage to make sure I'm framed and exposed right. If your main purpose is vlogging I'm not sure I'd recommend the Sony.

Hi Matt, Thanks so much for doing a video like this, been debating whether or not to get the canon 6d mark 2 or the sony. i really like the sony a7iii. So it doesn't seem to be a problem not having a view finder that you can pull out and swivel? Also the auto focus on the face is fairly quick I can see. So you are happy with it? What made you choose the a7iii over the Sony Alpha a6500 Mirrorless Digital Camera? What lenses you using? What do you think about Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS and the Sony - E 10-18mm F4 OSS Wide-angle Zoom Lens (SEL1018) ? - Safe travels - Michael.
Not having a flip screen is a pain - it's manageable if you're wanting high quality photos and video but if the main purpose is filming yourself in a run and gun environment one of the 6500 cameras or an eosr / m50 would be an easier tool. Focus is fantastic and 99% of the time reliable. It has issues when recording in slog though. I aim to do freelance photography and wanted a full frame camera for low light and depth of field. Can't comment on the lenses as I don't own either sorry! 28mm f2 has been great though!
