I have seen a picture of one of your sea-planes with sponsions not wing floats. Are they an option for a home build ? I am thinking the sponsions would be better for a larger wave take off . Hope to hear from someone about this....
Great Job! ..nothing like talking about safety and capability to land wheels up with a mere few scratches on the hull whilst showing the plane endlessly flying with "wheels down" over water and trees. So if you loose you're power, electricity, how well does it land with the wheels down in water? Just wondering 🤔😜
@@ultralightnews ..think the point I was trying to make, was that the (safety & training) narrative didn't quite match the footage in my humble opinion, as it does not necassarily show "best practises" such as choosing the right configuration for the given environment. No worries, it still makes for a great (training) video.
If you have lakes in your state, it would be hard to beat this aircraft given its performance and price point. Beautiful job Alex!! Great video Dan.
Nice flying boat ! Good choice of color.

Did you say Sebring Fl
Is this seaplane only for lakes or can it be used out in the open ocean
It can be used in salt water / oceans - but would normally require changes in some parts and salt water corrosion proving.
Useful load is 550 LBS not much room for heavier crowd

The retract is BATTERY operated, so you would have to loose both your engine, AND battery connection. Or you could just go with the manual retract.
