If we call the speed to be 58 knots then it's moving forward at about 5874 feet per minute. It seems to be losing 850 feet per minute. 850/5874 is about 0.1473 or a glide ratio of about 7 to 1. Yeah, better have a landing spot picked out, but that's about average for a dacron wing aircraft. Pretty draggy.
Sooo....for those of us who don't know how to do the math...what would you calculate the glide ratio as?
