Im no qun lore expert but isnt tal vashoth the term for those who turn their back on the qun, and Vashoth is the term for those who've never known it to begin with?
Adaar was born after his parents so yes but considering how bull does acknowledge that Adaar isn’t really tal vashoth later in the game Ill give him a pass, besides I’d imagine it’s a little slip of the tongue the Qunari don’t care much for vashoth anyways
It’s prob more a technicality than anything, for the most part tal-vashoth and vashoth would get lumped in together by the Ben-hasrath... bull only makes the distinction once he becomes Tal-vashoth, as the vashoth don’t have the same habit of becoming bloodthirsty murders.
I don’t get Bull’s views with Tal-Vashoth. He’s says they could’ve stayed and changed the Qun from within, but he also acknowledges that any dissenters are sent to re-educators and that if you’re strong willed they poison you to take away their free will. So how exactly are they supposed to change their society from within?
Well, it's really hard to change a totalitarian society, especially when you can't gain any real numbers to challenge the status quo. Bull sent himself to reeducation and treated it as an absolutely normal thing to do. So, at least some amount of people who are disappointed in the way of the Qun willingly go into brainwashing, and others leave - there is barely anyone left to work for change. Still, people who dislike at least some aspects of the Qun exist within it. Cole mentions that Bull's Tama was relived to learn that he 'got away', and she's still in some sort of a position of power even years after she raised Bull. She raised him as an independent thinker and approved of his creative problem solving, and that didn't just kept him alive, that definitely influenced his relationship with non Qunari. So, people within the Qun can still work on changing it, while Tal Vashoth can't do much.
There is one definitive way to change the Qun, be the Arishook. Sten talks about some things that the Qunari don't have like cookies and baked goods, and Bull says that Par Vollen has bakers, which means Sten changed that after he became Arishook. So becoming Arishook is a surefire way, Bull also mentions that the priesthood determines how Qunari should live in theory, if the priesthood gets people within who wish to change the rules there might be ways to alter the laws of the society entirely. But I am guessing its a process and not something as cut and dry as that.
Qunari is a society of hypocrites and religious extremists that think everyone who doesn't live by their "religion" (I don't care how they put it, it's a religion, or close enough) must either die or convert. Kinda like Islam, but turned to 11. At least Muslims back in the day gave you a 4 options after conquests : convert, die, go away, pay taxes to keep your old religion. With Qunari you've got only 2 options. Or 2 and a half, half being turned into a mindless slave. Screw the Qunari. Iron Bull is literally named liar, he even lies to Krem about how she will be treated as a man in Qun, simply because she thinks she's a man, even though she wouldn't, Qunari have even stricter gender roles that the rest of Thedas.
@@steelbear2063 Yeah well religion is like that, imagine living in a world, where you don't have all the answers and you want to keep people from dying. @@alinazhidil9817 tbh totalitarian societies are the easiest to change. In fact, it is one of their key drawbacks: every crazy gets to fulfill their vision to the last bit once they get power. The trick is to get it, and under the Qun you need to be a woman.

i guess it doesn't really matter. if you're a dwarf you're a crime family so maybe they're still doing that. your elf family are just ordinary dalish. parents possible dead in both situations. if you're human you're noble birth so makes sense you're more accounted for.
There's a war table mission where your old Tal-Vashoth merc group (which it kind of implies your parents are a part of) gets in touch/is hired by the Inquisition. Unlike The Iron Bull, they're extremely happy about the fact that they get to fight demons. But that's it.
It doesn’t fit with the British voice. Lore wise the American voice fits perfectly for the Qunsri and dwarf Inquisitors. British voices fit Human and elven Inquisitors
Bull is actually taller than a qunari inquisitor. Bull is supposed to be the tallest in the party regardless of qunari male. So it's just some weird stuff.

Yup!
Maybe he was born while his parents were still part of the Qun, but they escaped with him. That could technically make him Tal-Vashoth.

I wonder what happened to the inquisitior's parents, same with the elf and dwarf sometimes you're able to hear about the humans
Yeah ,Josie mentioned your family if you go with the human Inquisitor,Not sure about the others tho

Ahhh i loved if we can see them in action in the future buuuut that is unlikely though
That British VA with that Qunari face :d
I know right the british voice with any qunari makes me cringe! It does not fit! Needs to be deeper or something.
lol XD hes civil
Odd Choice for the Voice , i Pick the British voices for the Human and elf and the American voice for Dwarf and Qunari anyone else do the same?
Sounds deeper
This one! This one is pleased by your choice, this one is not alone. :)
I do the same.
Just about everyone probably lol
Not gonna lie I picked the American for my human Inquisitor solely because it sounded closer to my voice
It's actually baffling that the male qunari inquisitor is taller than Bull
Taller bur leaner. I mean just look at bull, dudes built like an actual brick wall
Glad someone finally gave the qunari a british voice, everyone always picks the american one. Switch things up a bit lol
I’m trying to make a super pretty female qunari for it. Trying to make one look young is hard tho

I feel like you have a different dialogue option than I did, any idea why?
How do you get Iron Bull to mention losing a bet to Krem?
Make it to skyhold and be declared inquistor before meeting bull
@@TheAzuregreen Cool. Thanks.
So what does kaaras mean? Anyone know?
Navigator.
'Weapon', hu? :)

Yeah, I got that from the dialogue. Just meant to remark on the choice, since I thought it an interesting one.
Still, thanks. :)
It's kind of disconcerting that bull is shorter than the inquisitor. It kind of makes me not want to play as a qunari

It's a weird camera angle in the cutscene combined with the terrain of the Storm Coast.
You can tell that the inquisitor is taller in the winter palace dance scene. When Bull grabs your waist and guides you inside.
adaar who?
Kinda weird with the British accent.
How's the Buttstallion?
