So trusty worthy and kind to get your guard down, his expression was so caring. The second he pulled the triggered, he went right into machine mode, no expression no care. He didn’t even comfort the little girl. Just walked away.

3:52 I like how it said "execute" so badass. I love how he pulled the gun so quickly and the music going from 100 to 0 so quick, her scream and Daniel falling backwards. It is by far the best ending of this mission.
idk, the one where Connor's expression subtly changes right as his lies work and the snipers take out Daniel is a pretty good ending too

Yeah, it was awesome. Also far less disturbing for poor Emma- a quick clean kill instead of a SWAT massacre. Also far nicer to Daniel, too. Wish he could've been saved though. ...And telling Daniel that "no one is going to hurt you" right before shooting him...ouch. Wish that hadn't happened. But the way Connor gives that gun back...AWESOME.

I don't see how abused Daniel is but holding a girl hostage is overkill, he already killed the dad so why take the girl hostage. Why didn't he just escape? Only for that evil he should be taken down.

Fun fact: At 4:26, the SWAT unit looks at the dead body Connor inspected and signals that he's dead, however if the player chose to ignore Daniel's order and apply the tourniquet, the SWAT unit would have signaled that he's still alive, the amount of detail put in this game is insane.

Badass Connor. Loved him right from the start. :D Also it's very cool that (Spoiler?) when you save the cop on the rooftop he will thank you later in the game and you'll be rewarded with the most subtle and cutest smile that Connor could ever pull off. ♡ :D
That later encounter is also great because the game remembers whether you died or not, if Connor never died (the best for "maximum software instability" and deviant play) Connor will have some sort of emotional response to since that exact model will remember it as a native memory.

What could've made this better was if Connor saved the cop. His line of "you can't kill me, I'm not alive" is just so badass. This would've been perfect then.

this is the ending i wanted, i working on making Connor the freaking T1000 who only shows sympathie if it benefits himself, Markus on the other hand is the hero in my story.

imo, though, this version of Connor is less sadistic than the one where he shows more sympathy and Daniel is killed anyway. Because then you realize the sympathy was fake, to manipulate.

He does care for her (you can't just throw years of attachment away in a blink of an eye) but he obviously feels extremely hurt and betrayed to the point that his emotions have overwhelmed him. If this first scene wasn't so badass I would find it hard to watch because of poor Daniel. His situation is very sad.

First off, Connor could have cemented in his lie about the gun by saying that androids are prohibited from using, let alone carrying, firearms (which, in this universe, is true). Also, there was no simulation that indicated Connor knowing for sure that the girl wouldn't fall. It was a HUGE risk to shoot the deviant, who was holding the girl ON THE EDGE OF THE ROOF. Connor had to have gone through different simulations of statistical strategy for success, like in every other aspect of his combat in the game. But for whatever reason, the game developers decided to overlook that. It doesn't make sense with Connor's determination to stop the deviant and save the girl. He was merely acting on what he saw, instead of using his superior internal technology to calculate the best move with minimal risk of losing the mission.
I think this is where your choices comes in. Depending on the choices you will make, his instability will either increase and decrease. Your choices that deviates from the statistical view of Connor's system is what makes him more prone to being a deviant.
That's why each of your choices matter whether he can turn into a deviant or stay a machine. That's it, you're RA9! xD

Got this outcome on my first playthrough and when Connor gave the Captain the gun and walked away i jumped out of my seat with pure excitement and marveled at the badassery of Connor!
I prefer this to the whole "lying to him" thing. If I'm gonna kill someone, I'll do it myself. Not tarnish my honor by lying to him and telling him everything is fine before a group of snipers blow him to bits. It's not the most tactically sound approach, but it's the honorable one.
I just played this part personally Honor and all that wouldnt matter to me in that situation all that mattered was saving the life of the hostage at any cost Daniel already murdered the girls father and multiple police officers in cold blood after he snapped. He was unpredictable espically since he wanted a car and planning to letting her go afterwards which is a risk i would never take.
Leading him on into a false sense of security then putting him down the secound he lets his gaurd down and the girl go was the most effective option

I finally played the game i see why people love it this first misson was so intense. I chose this path. Keeping the gun and using it after getting Daniel to lower his gaurd enough that he lets the hostage go before he can react to your betrayal. Is the most effective and clean way to deal with the situation. Any other way would have complicated things all that mattered was saving the girl at any cost. Also the way conner hands over the gun after shooting Daniel was so badass

I've played this game probably 20 times trying to see different paths, and just today did I figure out there was a gun under that table that this is was one of the outcomes.
i played the intro like 20 times trying to get a happy endding where everyone lives.
well i found out that it is no possible. just like in real life
and i love this game even more after that realization

When I first played the game, I was calculating, and objective focused on completing the mission like Connor was. But when the plot advanced and I had more to worry about, I had more on my mind and I could feel how it felt to deviate.
