The main reason we're taking the SAT is for scholarships. He's loving this class so far, and I find the process fascinating.

I signed my two older children up for an intensive 8-week College Prep Genius class last summer because se we live overseas and were Stateside and able to take live online classes. I too was totally sold on the idea that they teach them how to view the questions logically, but they were teaching them how to do it on a paper test.(As they have been doing successfully for so many years). So lots of marking out, circling, etc and they were not YET teaching how to do their methods on a DIGITAL test when you don't have pencil and paper. So, I feel our investment was poor timing because as of last summer they were still waiting on the new digital tests to be released. My children found it frustrating to learn these techniques only to find they couldn't do all of them because the test had gone digital. So, I hope by now they have adapted their course to better prepare students to take the SAT digitally and not find in the end you didn't get what you hoped from your investment. Just wanted to share so those interested can ask more details about this.
The one we signed up for is very current. My son took one class and he’s doing the PSAT with it online, and he’s acing the test. It’s blowing me away how well he’s doing with one video. I’m very pleased so far.
@@mandy-maltzwhen you say he’s acing the test, what do you mean? Like he is acing his practice tests on Khan academy or he actually aced his PSAT or SAT, actual test. Sorry for the questions. I never took my SATs or ACT so I’m very lost.
@@kita3256 official practice tests online. He was struggling before during practice sessions and now he’s flying through them.

Question, it’s a zoom class, you said, but is it a live zoom class with a live teacher , one on one setting, or are there other students?
Last question, sort of out of topic but you said your son is going to a tarde school and he still needs to take the SATs? I had no idea. I thought it was just for University. What kind of trades or trades schools accept SAT scores for scholarships? 😮
It’s a live zoom class with an instructor from what I understand. He needs the SATs for scholarships, not to get into the school. But they also require SATs or ACT for dual enrollment, which we’re thinking about doing in the fall.
