- TIguan 5n2 CFFB 2.0 TDI - HALDEX GEN 4 SERVICE - PUMP CLEAN - FLUID & FILTER CHANGE
Haldex FLUID OE part number : G060175A2
Haldex Filter Borg Warner part number : 2003085
Hi great video. I have the same haldex. I didn't clean the pump, I have to finish. After starting and turning the haldex, it is necessary to add about 80 ml of oil. You don't have that there.
Very professional!
I like your music as well
Thanks
Hey, with the VCDS, you can take off the filter easily :-)
Yes you can , but....If the pump has intermitent error , VCDS will not activate the pump thus you can't eject the filter using VCDS.
@@doomyro can we just push the gas pedal to release the filter after we loosen the screws.
@@user-ql5rs3xb3x no , don't do that , the pressure is to high
Thanks for this, I’m doing an awd swap and want to change out the fluid before putting it on the vehicle.
Don't forget about the haldex filter ! It must be changed also !
You didn't show you removing the cable, i am struggling to find how to remove it as in the cable coming from the pump.
That part is missed , you need a thin hand to go over the haldex unit to remove the clips for the cable, 4 clips if i remember corectly.
Hello, do you know how to check which generation of Haldex I have? tiguan 2014 2.0 tdi cr
Fastest way if to get under the car and see if you have the filter housing visible. If not , it's gen5.

Hey! That was the first haldex oil change, with 40kkm, or it is a second oil change with X + 40kkm? That's to much dirty at the pump for 40kkm. Thank you!
It's actually the third haldex oilchange and the third time cleaning the pump , at aprox 160.000 km . First at 60k , second at 120k and the third one at about 160k. all of them done within the 3 year lifespan of the oil. I am preparing the fourth haldex service at about 195k in about 6 months .
It's dirty at the pump because that's suposed to be like that , because it's supposed to suck the gunk out of the oil slump with the disc friction material ,not allowing it to go in N373 valve. If the pump is clean , then it is highly possible you have a fried N373 valve or haldex computer.
Statistically speaking , 90% of 4motion vehicles from VW that have not been serviced in the last 10 years are running only Front wheel drive by now.
@@doomyro I've just done mine Haldex service, right now, 57 kkm, any gunk found, neither the pump nor the filter. I asked you about the Km because i was in doubt of remove or not the pump without new orings. But i did it. Everything clean. Thank you!
@@Lemos_TTs it really depends on how you use the car and the style of driving.
Thanks for your help. Another question. Some people also talk about differential service. Is it the same thing or a different thing than haldex service?
Of course there are two diferentials in the tiguan , front and rear . The oil is different , there are no filters , need to change every 60.000 kilometers. The plug adapter works for the diferential also.
biggest problem i think is it's i don't know where to get replacement for the Oring for pump. have a feeling it may leak after putting it back in so i didn't remove the pump. may need to do it on next service so need to find out where to get O'ring
I used new o-rings , just forgot to put it in the video , i got them from here : www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/shop/haldex-other-small-parts/o-ring-seals-for-gen-2-3-and-4-haldex-pump/
Hello, I have a question, after inserting the new filter and putting new oil, do you have to get rid of the air in the system, or it`s not necessarily?
Yes it is mandatory to use vcds or similar software to charge the syatem, you must put back at least 820 mll of haldex fluid , otherwise it will have problems
Hi, congratulations on the video!
I wanted to ask you, if the filter needs to be pried out to be able to remove it, it must also be difficult to insert it again despite putting lubricant on the gaskets. How did you do it?
Hi , check the video from 0:50 and you will see that you need to pry it out a littlle bit using a screw, a washer and 2 screwdrivers. Inserting it back is quite easy , you just need to lube the o-rings with some haldex fluid.
Is it safe not using the VCDS?
Mersi
Salut , personal le fac in garajul unui prieten.
is there a electric connection for the pump as well?
What do you mean? The pump has a 2 pin wire connector.
Can you fill in the oil with gravity fill tool instead of oil pump? What kind of hole adapter is used?
The hole adapter is the VW OE one used for this kind of fillplug. In the movie the haldex fluid is beeing put back just by using gravity , no pump required. But this can onluy be done using the special tool to fiil up.
@@doomyro Thank you for reply. By "Special Tool" you mean the plug adapter and the hose? I hope I will be able to do it if I find those.
@@batchimed7392 Here you go mate : www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben-parts/schwaben-haldex-90-degree-adapter-kit/027305sch01a/ 25 dollars +shipping and it has all the adapters for different plugs. You have all the cars that this parts fits in the description of the product. The hose , is a normal garden hose cut to length.

Mersi
Do you need to run the pump with Vag-com after doing this service ? Thanks
Yes , it is mandatory, because you can't get all the specified fluid in without that procedure.
