    *About the Story*
Curvy girls deserve happily ever afters too.
I’m a big girl, “plus-sized,” whatever. I’m sick of hearing about it, especially since my doctor diagnosed me with PCOS. So when Mean Girl Merritt shot her mouth off about how fat people should just lose weight, I couldn’t take it anymore.
And now I’ve got a huge problem. To prove curvy girls like me can get happily-ever-afters too, I have to get our school’s quarterback, Beckett Langley, to take me to homecoming. And he doesn’t know I even exist.
But it’s not hopeless. Four other girls just like me are willing to help, because enough is enough.
I will not lose this bet.
Curvy Girls Can’t Date Quarterbacks is the first book in the lively Curvy Girl Club YA contemporary romance series. If you like resilient teens, building confidence, and snark for days, then you’ll adore Kelsie Stelting’s sweet story. Get your copy today!

As a curvy girl with PCOS this series is a real and refreshing window of the real issues and experiences felt by people like me!
Feelings of inadequacies and not fitting in as well as the internal conversations we have with ourselves that are more cruel and self defeating than others are.

Great book! It doesn't just feature a curvy girl, but addresses real curvy girl problems and how we have learned to hate ourselves. Witnessing the character's path to self love is very encouraging!

They're so happy but there's still 3h left. That means drama. I don't want drama.
    Update:

I *LOVE* this book! It gave me sooo much.

I have PCOS. It’s not fun. I lost an ovary in 1995 and had a hysterectomy in 2009. Never was able to conceive but have two wonderful adopted kids and 6 grandchildren. I empathize with Rory and I’m praying they’ve made advances by now to treat it.

If you've never been a curvy woman, some of the mean incidents that occurred in this story may seem implausible. They are not. High school was brutal. Teachers pretend to be deaf while cruel comments are made out loud about your size. Mooing noises, snorting pig noises, very loud remarks about the fact that you are able to squeeze all of your fat into your little bitty desk... All while you die a thousand deaths, flushed red with humiliation, feeling chained to your desk, knowing that if you leave, you will suffer just as much from failing grades because you cannot stand to have pieces of your soul ripped out of your body while no one intervenes. So your choices are to die of humiliation so you can get your diploma, or drop out of school and save your soul, knowing you will have no decent earning potential for the rest of your life. I was 40 years old and 20 years into therapy before I finally got it that I was more than a double chin and a big belly. Now I am making peace with my fat. It serves me well as a BS meter. People who would assume my appearance is my value, are not people I'd want to waste my time on. I have learned much about hormones, chemical imbalances, trauma, and a whole host of factors that influence weight other than the old ideas of calories and exercise. I wish the world was a kinder place, but far too often it is not. It's taken time and I am still learning, to be as compassionate with myself as I can, and to be the same with others.

The painful high school parts are accurate. Being a size 12/14 in the 90s was brutal. I was made fun of by guys my age & adult men constantly preyed on my vulnerability. I wouldnt go through that time again for all the money in the world.

What happened to her at the game was brutal, I didn't see that coming but at the same time she should have talked to beckett in private when she was at his home for dinner, she knew merit would have screwed her over by spinning the story to make her look bad. My heart breaks for her 😢 she's lost her friends, the whole school hates her, her relationship with her mom is not great and now she's lost her guy

And thank you for dispicting PCOS something i have lived with all my life and the struggles u depicted was everything i have gone threw i cried this book because even though i have accepted myself my scars are still there and sometimes when i fall but i come back and get up; so pcos is alot more real and an issue that we should teach to all our kids as a possible situation in all young adults.

Lovely story and beautifully written and narrated and there is NO place for fat shaming either of self or others or self-loathing of any kind. But I do not get the lack of understanding that most of us would be in an unfortunate weight range if we ate like that and we worked really hard in our youth to maintain a healthy and comfortable weight we were OK with. French fries cannot be eaten for every lunch without consequences. I ate cupcakes or chocolates once a week and enjoyed but more than this (eg, during uni exams), the pounds went up and the clothes got tight - who cares as when the exams finished I got things back in order .... I was disturbed by the insinuation that she could not be happy if she ate healthy foods - why would that be? I used to be proud of my efforts and my hard work to retain a reasonable diet - I rarely noted the scales (except after my babies were born and I was determined to return exactly to my previous weight). This obsession with eating starch and fats can't be blamed on PCOS or anything else and does compromise skin condition. Simply put, unhealthy habits formed with foods that are physically and emotionally addictive. But with consistent effort, the body craves healthy foods instead but this will not happen overnight - take effort and time. So somehow, those with weight issues need to find a way to develop healthy habits, maintain motivation (based on how they feel not a random step on the scales), feel proud of it and cheer self on all of the journey - ups and downs - don't stand on those scales, don't criticise yourself - eat healthy, exercise, fresh air and deal with emotional eating - like we all have to if we are every to get rid of PCOS........ it doesn't go without these lifestyle changes and standing on the scales and not getting a change is no excuse or reason not to adopt positive habits....... but embracing this health requirement and hating yourself for not looking like a Size 0 are too very different things............... We are never going to be accepted by others..... this is a fruitless and heartbreaking pursuit.

Merit is a shallow, pretentious bully and care too much about impressing everyone else, ppl like her get off on putting ppl down to make themselves feel better. Often times ppl like her peak in high school and after high school have nowhere else to go but down while the ppl who were bullied become successful. It's sad that ppl are judged based on their appearance, there's more to a person other than what they look like, don't judge because you never know what that person is dealing with. The bullying is heartbreaking 💔 to listen to and I know there are kids today who deal with that crap everyday.
