      Ignore the big picture.
      Let the world burn.
      Feel better about yourself.
      Breathe.
      Just, breathe.
Nothing is going to be alright.

      @@wolfmage1922Who fucking cares?
The best person in the world won't stop humanity from destroying ourselves.
You are focused on the wrong problem, and you call that "enlightenment".
      Breathe.
      Just breathe.
      Breathing is involuntary.
      It is automatic.
I would understand if you read this and came to the conclusion that I have missed the point.
But I get it. I understand.
      It doesn't matter.
You have no idea the terror that waits for us all in the very near future.
When it comes we'll call it a force of nature... We'll pretend nothing could have been done.
But with an ounce of foresight, this tragedy could be averted.
      It won't be.

Listened to Alan Watts at 14. Don’t know what it is that made his words resonate at the time. It helped me through my suffering. At 31, his words still soothing and still helping me through my suffering. A lifetime of suffering is bearable derives from his teachings (I’ve since added lessons from Dostoevsky, Kierkegaard, Nitzche, and Bible in the last 17 years). I might even say these lessons make the suffering meaningful.

He simply stated what is, has always been , it's a matter of discovering it within ourselves, that's upto us to what lengths we are prepared to go to do that, it's not an easy path but it's a beautiful and peaceful one, as I've discovered 'aham brahmasi'- I am the universe! It's the eternal truth which our culture teaches us everyday. We & everything around us is impermanent, once you accept this truth everything becomes simplified and clear but to truly accept this is tough. As the Gita says- it's not that I do not own anything, it's that nothing owns me, once we understand this we are everything and at the same time nothing

Freedom and protection come from within and are available to anyone who finds their way for that path no matter in what part of the history we come about. That's why we were inserted in this temporary part of our existence. Everything is possible, not everything is probable.

Don't keep trying to reach "it" or the whole song will be this potential energy not fully realized. Breathe a bit, let more rhythms fill in then sing like the DOVES. I do mean _culture_ and not just the phones themselves because there was a time, up to about 10 years ago, where it was still considered rude and entitled to expect instant replies and answers to your calls and messages anytime of day or night. These days even employers and clients are upset if you don't give their texts and emails an instant reply late at night. It's all so wrong.

Watts was an alcoholic. But that doesn't mean he was any less of a philosopher - in fact I admire people like him and say, Hunter S Thompson who can function so damn well off of multiple influences. I know for sure I don't have that ability

Here's a little funny story from Alan Watts, the renowned philosopher and speaker:
Once upon a time, there was a man who was extremely concerned about finding the meaning of life. He went from one guru to another, attended countless spiritual retreats, and read every self-help book he could get his hands on. But no matter how hard he searched, he couldn't find the answer he was seeking.
One day, he stumbled upon a wise old sage sitting under a tree. Excitedly, he approached the sage and asked, "Oh wise one, can you tell me the meaning of life?"
The sage looked at him with a mischievous smile and said, "Ah, my friend, life is like a cup of tea."
Perplexed, the man replied, "A cup of tea? How is life like a cup of tea?"
The sage replied, "Well, when you pour tea into a cup, the cup becomes the vessel that holds the tea. Similarly, life fills you with experiences, adventures, and emotions. But just as you don't cling to the cup after you finish your tea, you shouldn't cling to life. Savor it, enjoy it, but don't hold on too tightly."
The man pondered the sage's words for a moment and then asked, "But what happens when the cup is empty?"
The sage laughed and replied, "Ah, my friend, when the cup is empty, it's time to get up, go to the kitchen, and pour yourself another cup of tea!"
And with that, the man realized that the search for the meaning of life was not about finding a single profound answer, but rather about embracing the ever-changing and unpredictable journey itself.
Remember, life is like a cup of tea-enjoy it while it's hot, but don't forget to refill your cup when it's empty.

Alan was so right about all of it. Jim Morrison had similar insights to how technology will be our downfall .!!! 🙏🌌🙏
