This Team hit the skids late in the season and the Caps for the 2nd year in a row Eliminated us. I think they won 1 game in the series and it was a blowout like 5 or 6-1.
Mike Gartner scored 49 goals, I loved Garts, wish he could of been on the Cup team in 94. Well he was on the team for most of the regular season but was traded at the trade deadline for Glenn Anderson.
The Rangers would win the Cup three years later. How many guys from this 90-91 team were on the 93-94 team? I see only Leetch, Richter, and Kocur. They were almost completely transformed.
i know richter won the cup but i will always say beezer was the better goalie def more technically sound. richter had habit making easy saves look hard

That line could grind the opposition down. Better have your head on a swivel. Roger Nielsen way ahead of his time. Fun team for sure.

He got a ring at least from the team. He deserved it. He was a big reason they had home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
A lot of guys you see here were instrumental in the trades that got the Cup. Steven Rice, Nicholls, J. Patrick, Turcotte etc.
