Yo! DrumTrax subscriber here! Need some advice! I really want my triplets across the toms to sound more fluid during the groove. I use that starter chop H H K K alot. What else can I add to that???
The idea with the starter chops are to use them as a jump off point to create more ideas from. You can literally take any pattern that we have taught as a starter chop or a middle chop or even an ending chop and add it and use it. The name of the game here is exploration. You can take any pattern and place it in any subdivision. So if it's triplets that you're working on then you can combine what you're already doing with this starter shop or any other starter shop that we've taught. Even if we didn't teach it in the triple subdivision, you could still play the patterns as triplets and see what you come up with. Again, the name of the game is creative exploration.
