The music, the drama, the blood, sweat and tears. I can fully appreciate the people who fiberglass for a living. VERY labor intensive. Nice job Kurt... cue the music again.. another layer... here we go... well next Spring anyways.

Hard to believe you have not done a project like this before. Your fiberglassing turned out great! Can't wait for the next episode!

You're doing an amazing job, my friend. You make this 78 year old fart wish I was still capable of doing projects such as that. I've enjoyed The Hoover Boys channel for years, and now this one has been added. God Bless you and your family, as well as Bob, Brad, Billy, Muck, and Leo. (Hope I didn't miss anyone). Stay safe and healthy.

As satisfying it is for you to get this done. It’s just as satisfying for me to watch you getting it done. I’m really enjoying watching you go through the processes of refurbishing your bay liner. And when you first take her out, we will be right there with you hopefully, enjoying a task well done. Your bay liner will have the largest crowd on board, if not physically, in the world. Looking forward to the next episode ( oops, no Indians here ).

Really enjoy the transformation of the boat. Love your attention to detail. Your time lapse music score reminded me of the one you used on the England trip.

Hey Kurt. I had no idea you had made a video series of the Bayliner restoration. Excellent job on the deck !! You put in the research and good materials. This is the last video I saw on the boat, if you have more please let me know. Congrats on a great job ! I really hope to see what you will cover the deck with. I used a non skip boat paint to save money. Could not Gel coat in my my driveway. Good luck on this project. You are a very busy guy. LOL John

I only use epoxy, just never had a reason to use poly. I am jealous of how easy poly looks like it wets out 1708 compared to using epoxy and having to work it in manually. Does that also bother you? A lot of times I end up adding too much because it looks like it's not soaking in and then I end up with excess cured resin kind of like you had when you said it looks "slippery".

If that was bare wood, weren’t you supposed to saturate it with resin before applying the 1708? Otherwise the resin would be pulled out of the fiberglass and the bond to the wood wouldn’t be strong.

    • @MentalHealthDay82

Why don't you add the color to your resin? Why easier than painting and lasts longer too.
