I follow Sailing Zatara and I just love them. Keith and Rene are amazing parents and role models. Their kids are awesome and so grounded and balanced. They have done an absolute fantastic job!!! ❤️
I loved this interview! I've been watching the Z crew for a long time. In the beginning I was very bothered by some of their very narrow views and attitudes although I enjoyed watching their sailing adventures. I've been pleasantly surprised as I've seen them evolve into the more understanding humans they are today. I especially noticed a change after they visited the Maldives and it's been a joy watching them travel through the southern Africa countries. It's such an exciting and beautiful country that I hope to see one day. Thank you for the interview. Marie from California USA.
Interesting comment, so glad they have evolved to fit your idea of the humans they should be. Nice that you are humble enough to share and not just a narrow minded person like the rest of us!
I think the guy who is interviewing is awfully dreadfully insulting and basically naive. Embarrassing interview this guy knows nothing at all!,OMG dying what an idiot. Sailing Zatara u are amazing!
Great interview. Been following Sailing Zatara for almost 4 years now and it is heartwarming how this family evolved from the typical stereotype of Americans (Sorry Z Crew) to very open minded souls. How they raised their children and respect their needs. So for the oldest daughter Anna who didn't liked this lifestyle and decided to go back to America. Beautiful family and I wish I could meet them some time.
Nice interview with Renee and Keith. I’ve been lucky to have subscribed to their channel when their sailing adventure included their eldest. The quality of their adventure videos is second to none. They rely on each other which only enhances the love they share with each other. Again, a very good interview. One last comment, they epitomize living but the golden rule. It’s healthy and inspiring.
Nice job Luke. I've followed this family for years and am so inspired by their simple examples (though powerful). I think this was so well done. Cheers
Back in '97, I did a month long safari in Africa as a teenager. Started in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Went through Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. It was an amazing trip for a young American. I'd love to go back because I think I'd appreciate it even more as an adult. I remember kayaking above the Victoria Falls one day and then doing white-water rafting on the river below the next day.
Great interview. The Falls may not "switch off on cue"😅 but if I'm correct only the Zambian side of the Falls dries up in the dry season but they've had good rains lately!
Nice interview, very diplomatic. I was going to suggest you run for office when you come back to the US, but being around politicians might ruin you. Wouldn't want to take this adventure away from you and the family. Don't let Jack jump off the falls.
I think world travelling teaches Americans that you don't need much to be happy. We have so much here comparatively yet always feel we need more, but after world travelling you realize it's just silly. I don't think many live extravagantly once they've traveled the world and met the people in far off lands because it centers you and you realize what you actually need to be happy is the people you're happy with rather than amassing things to impress people you don't even like or know. Part of it also is it is so comparatively expensive here in America to survive that all you do is work because you have to but you see other countries living right with better priorities yet most importantly, it doesn't cost as much to survive there. In America, if your net is 3k a month you're barely making it work in even the cheaper states.

Legendary guests Rene and Keith.

@@jdawglawler8833 why are you so cynical?
@@laseronx I didn't see cynical, just a comment. It all depends on your view.

Great video! Sub-Saharan Africa is a place where the animals rule, realizing that humans can be seen as food is a moment of awakening.

The bad people are a minority of the people found in our world, most folks are good.
