I'm so grateful that Achilles Come Down has been given more airplay. It's never played live (probably due to its length). The combo of Tones & I unique voice, the choir and strings really do this song justice.

I love it how on 4:10 although she don't sing ''Today, of all days see, how...'' if you sing it fits perfectly when she start ''The most dangerous thing is to love''
I appreciate how different this is from the original in terms of arrangement but it's still very much in the spirit of the original. I always love a Like A Version with strings and/or choir and this is one of my favourite songs of all time. As far as I'm concerned, Tones and I has my respect now.

Had to stop what I was doing and watch this with 100% concentration. I've got chills, i've got goose bumps, my eyes are sensing onions hearing that crescendo...Tones' singing brought home Dave's battles with 'Achilles' beautifully. I'm sure the Gang will love it and this is contender for best of 2022/23 LaV!

Wow! There's no denying she has an incredible voice. I hope in future she works with lots of different writers and producers. I wasn't a fan of her debut because her songwriting was a little weak, but it's clear she has the potential for an amazing release someday.

Not a fan of Tones at all, but WOW that was beautiful. The entire composition was brilliant, and brought something to the song that was really wonderful.

Was quite surprised at this performance but the use of electronic drums and that wailing synth felt so out of place. The strings would have made for such a better sound in my opinion. She made it her own in the end I guess which is great to see from a LAV. Would love to see Dave and Tom do this with the same resources she had.

Looking at other comments here, I am in the minority. As a massive Gang of Youths fan, this was and still is....terrible. Way to ruin a wonderful song.
My workmates and I cringed when we heard that Tones & I was doing LAV this week. We were right to do so.

I didn't think that the voice of Tones and I would fit with this song, since this song has a nuance of ancient Greek tragedy and I thought her voice is somehow modern, but I'm honestly surprised by how she conveys the emotion. I can feel the sadness and pain of Achilles now..I personally think this is better than the original one

I was thinking the same thing! Although early Sia was often so mumbly you couldn't make out the words. Tones strikes a nice balance here.

I've listened to the original version countless times, but this cover has made me actually hear the lyrics for the first time....
5:09 the choir singing the positive part but the the distinct voice of the lead being the outliers is so fucking smart.
Doesn’t matter how many people encourage you, that little voice in the back will always be there.
Was a bit undecided on this as its one of my favourite songs and not a fan of Tones and I but once the choir starting doing the duet at the end I was sold.

This is amazing!! The original version is 100% amazing but this brings a whole different dimension to the song!!!!! Weather you like "Tones and I" or not you have to agree it's a beautiful arrangement!
