    ABOUT ME
I’m Fern! A 20-something gal living on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada with my partner and two dogs. I like to create content on social media part time and also work as a Registered Nurse. I am interested in health and wellness - nutrition, holistic living, and exercise. I have been vegan for over 4 years and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I have over 100 houseplants and love to share about them :) For those into astrology, I am a gemini sun, scorpio moon, & libra rising. I started out on social media with a focus on makeup/beauty/fashion and am not into it as much, but I do share on those topics from time to time. Thanks for stopping by!

Also not keeping plants clean! A dusty plant doesn't photosynthesise so good. I use the neem oil to clean my leaves, keep them shiny and help to keep the pests away! :)

& I also agree when starting out your plant journey to not overbuy! In the beginning I bought every damn plant I could find & a month or so later they no longer brought me joy, I either gave them away or let them die. I only buy what brings me joy now, but then again it may be because I'm running out of room 😬😂

I'm binge watching your videos and learning sooo much. I started my plant journey during Covid and it has been so enjoyable. I've already overwatered, placed my plants in direct sunlight outside and scorched them😫 But I began researching plant care and now know better and they're rallying on 💚

So grateful for youtubers such as yourself for helping me with these things. In the last year I have really tried to increase my houseplant collection (yes, my fiance is starting to worry that he is going to be in the movie Jumangi soon lol) but I was doing several of these things prior to watching videos and learning. The over watering and too large of repots were my worst habits. I am doing so much better with my plant babies now.
Now if I could just afford every plant I want haha. Well, and have enough window and space to keep them all.

I have been dedicating alot more time learning about house plants and making sure I become a good house plant mama. So true about trying not to over buy. I already have 2 I know that are not my faves that I got because " I needed" me some plantintas. But honestly, they still make me happy because plants, over all, bring me joy and closer to my creator. Well see how it goes. Apparently I be liking expensive plants ( anthurium, begonias, some hoyas). But I love me some OG genuine philodendron heart shape babies and scindapsis.

Started with the plant obsession 2-3 weeks ago, bought so many plants I was stressed out like crazy as I just had to fall in love with calatheas of all plants, then topped it with fittonias... sadly can't have any pothos which was my go-to plant (because they are easy to care for) until I read they are toxic to cats (and I have literally nowhere to put them so they couldn't reach them (yet) :( Definitely did the overwatering and overpotting bit, yep. but so far all of them are alive :')

I love your content, I have one question since your an expert!! I have a money tree that I got a week ago, it used to look super fresh, vibrant and looked super happy and healthy, but now it just looks super droopy, miserable, the leaves are super soft, it looks tired, and overall doesn't look healthy at all. The plant came with a pot with moss on top, I think its moss, I'm pretty sure it to keep moisture in the soil, it also gets indirect sunlight, I live in CA Idk if that helps. And lastly, I only watered it once during this 7+ days I have had the plant. Please let me know what the problem is and what I can do.
