Coffee... you're 💯 talkin' our language! Yeah, we hit that Starbucks Reserve when we were there, too. REALLY cool place! I (Stephen) tried the espresso flight & dug the Vietnamese the most. Your drinks sound amazing! As much as I love S-bucks, it's hard to imagine one being MORE expensive than usual - that's my only negative about the place. 😜 Awesome that you checked out some more local (ie: "less corporate") Seattle spots, too - that's what travel's all about and you guys really dug in on the variety! Love the story of Herkimer, and Storyville looks really cool, too - great view! And free mugs??? NICE! Whew, close call with your phone! Cheers, guys!
You make everything look so fun, video credit for those amazing shots , many congrats and thanks for sharing guys Between I’m coffee addicted. New subscribers from fizah & Roman 😊
Hey guys...thanks for brought us the Seattle coffee tour...thanks for the comprehensive introductions given... thanks for sharing and fully watched the video....greetings from Travel China and a new subscriber is here....cheers...!!!
Absolutely awesome cafe tour! Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a really cool place. Also love the view of Storyville cafe. Thanks for sharing. Big Like + new friend + fv. Have a nice weekend!
Yeah the Starbucks Reserve is kinda of a chemistry lab thing. Same stuff they do here except no roasteries! I love the Herkimer!!! Fulcrum, yeah I can see it being packed. The creaminess ... yumm Yeah Fulcrum looks really nice! I am feeling a caffeine overload. I am actually having a cuppa as I am typing this! I am in. Sharing is Caring!
Haha very creative idea for the video intro! I sometimes try and save money by drinking my coffee at my hotel/airbnb, but I think Seattle is one of those places where you HAVE to drink your coffee at an establishment. I definitely need to come back and try some of the places in this video!
We're the same way! We seldom splurge on coffee when out and about, but when the city is known for coffee we needed to try it out and it was totally worth it haha! 😊 ☕️
Hello again :) Love the Kara and Nate style intro! Im not a big coffee drinker but can appreciate a good roast! Watching the coffee going through the tubes would be so much fun - the starbucks alchemy was also very charming. WHOAH love the vibe or storyville, we love anywhere with a view! I am also a HUGE fan of chai tea late, and like it very strong as well. Thanks for the review guys!!
Thanks guys, and enjoyed you coffee tour. I'm a coffee lover, but honestly I generally almost always buy coffee at our WaWa Market, Dunkin Donuts and even McD's. And at home, I grind whole beans before every pot. But we occasionally splurge and get some coffee house coffee. And we drink a lot of whole bean coffee our family in Puerto Rico grows on their farms. Hope you guys were able to sleep this night! ... lol Best wishes to you both. And thank you for another enjoyable video.
Hahaha we certainly were caffeinated, but with all the adventuring were able to sleep like rocks! We don't have WaWa's where we live, but we'll have to try one of theirs if we ever stumble across one! Thats so cool your family grows coffee in Puerto Rico! How long have they been doing that?!
@@SharingtheRoad Glad you were able to sleep. If you ever run across a Wawa, you have to give their coffee a try. They have a number of roast and flavors. I generally go with their regular blend which is a medium roast Arabica Coffee, and they have mild roast French Vanilla, Decaf, Hazelnut and Pumpkin Spice… then 100% Colombian and a their strong coffees are a Bold Cuban Roast and Dark Smoky Roast. From Wikipedia: Wawa is a chain of convenience stores and gas stations located along the East Coast of the United States, operating in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Florida. If you guys don’t get to any of this places, drop me an email at benstks@gmail.com, (let me know its you in the email title) and I’ll send you a coup of their sample packs. I pass number of the stores on my way down to South Jersey on my way to collect my SD cards and put out/change/collect trail cameras. If you have a P.O. Box or some safe address… lost of crazies out there. Reference: www.wawa.com/beverages/coffee
@@SharingtheRoad My wife's family has grown coffee on their farm dating back to the mid-1700's and it's still run by the family. They grow a few different types of coffees and they pick, roast and grind their own beans and sell them to markets and coffee shops.
We are the same. We love coffee but rarely get expensive coffee, mostly because we just like it black and hot. Loved this tour though, super beautiful and Interesting shops.
Now your speaking my language, I love coffee! I would love to do a coffee tour!!! This video made me want to make coffee and its 10 o clock at night! lol All these coffee shops looked amazing, thanks for sharing! - Melissa
I remember very well when the very first Starbucks opened at the Pike Street market and met one of the original owners there. During my time recently in Seattle just a few weeks ago I was unable to leave my hotel much due to fear I would catch Covid before my flight back home to Thailand after nearly two years so never was able to wander outside much. After 673 days trapped in the states, I was finally able to return this Monday. Thank you very much for the coffee tour it was very enjoyable although I likely will never return to America again.
beautiful place with the presence tempting aromatic drops of coffee wow everything is perfect enjoy Stay safe always have a great day keep uploading thanks
Okay the lesson I have learned from this video is to put my face as the background of my phone's wallpaper! But all jokes aside, I really enjoyed you guys' video! You two seem like a very nice duo and I'm looking forward to your next adventures (which can also definitely be coffee related as coffee is awesome 😍)!
Memories of Seattle. We did make the trek to the original Starbucks but had amazing coffees elsewhere in the city. Such a great coffee city. Making a list of coffee stops for our next Seattle trip.
omg i could go for a coffee shop tour right about now. When we used to live in Washington, I used to love to go to the little tiny trailers or like "tiny homes" that were coffee shops. Miss those!!! ~Erinn
What a tour of the coffee cathedrals. Nice relaxed presenting style and interplay, effective background music and subtle editing - such a watchable channel. You've inspired me to fire up the coffee grinder rather than go for my default breakfast tea!
WOW! This is an interesting and fun visits to the best coffee shops in Seattle. I could tell how tasty the coffee is after undergoing so many processes with the mad coffee scientist! This must be a glorious day of tasting coffee. Impressive presentation dear.
mmmmmm we love a good food city! Beautiful video! Love the editing and the music.....#goals...I'm trying lol. Jenn oh and I miss a good coffee....the Turkish coffee here in Istanbul is great but different than what I'm accustomed to.
Ahhh, we've always wanted to try Turkish Coffee! Munching on sugar cubes sounds good to me! We actually have a good friend in Istanbul and hope to visit at some point. Would you recommend it?
@@SharingtheRoad Oh yes! Absolutely. We've been here for month now and stayed here in Istanbul and didn't go explore elsewhere ha! We plan to return in a few months to explore more of the country. It's very affordable. Amazing food, drink and hospitality. Beautiful architecture and mosques and markets...the water front is lovely...!
I was born and raised @ 4418 Phinney Ave. And while close to Phinney Ridge, Herkimer is technically in the Greenwood neighborhood. Phinney Avenue is an arterial from 43rd Street north to 67th and then becomes Greenwood. That is considered the northern boundary of Phinney Ridge. Speaking of 43rd and Phinney. Perched on the corner is Lighthouse Coffee. A gem.
Hey fellow UA-cam couple ;) Loved the video, can't wait to get over to the states and check out Seattle once International Travel from Australia opens up. Subbed, and looking forward to see more from you both! 💚
Loved the coffee tour! Like you were not really into the gourmet coffees but love the smell. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery looked amazing. In fact they all looked amazing. Thanks so much for bringing us along!
We can’t say we have a “refined” coffee pallet but we do LOVE a coffee shop. Never thought of doing a coffee tour but now we are inspired (and we have a very high caffeine tolerance since work from home started) and will definitely be doing one soon! Thanks for sharing!
Im not a coffee drinker but interested to see your video to get idea about the diff coffee shops you’re visiting and reviews…hope to try the same..great idea😎sending support my friend.
The best coffee in Seattle/Bellevue is Fonte coffee and get their Turkish latte with almond milk. They also have a Sage Latte and Aztec mocha that are good too. But try the Turkish latte first!
Hate to burst everyone's bubble but the first Starbucks was at 2000 Western Ave. We just tell the tourists that the Market Starbucks is the first so they stand in line for the same swill they get back home:) I am still going to tell all tourists to hit the Starbucks Reserve because the place is a work of art indoors. But for coffee in the same area, head over to Cafe Vita or Vivace's. Do you like chocolate in your coffee? (I only go for mocha breves). Then try Chocolati at Greenlake. They make their own chocolates so get some coffee and truffles, sit outside at a table, and watch all of the runners across the street at Green Lake. Or, hit Chocoholic (I go to the Greenwood location) and get the Chocoholic Dream. Have it after dinner because this Vietnamese drink qualifies as a dessert and is quite special. And then just walk down the street to Diva's Espresso and further to Herkimer. Don't leave Seattle before trying some Ethiopian coffee. I can't recommend a place because Ethiopian neighbors taught me how they roast coffee so I just go to the store and get some green beans (my preference is Sidamo). And you haven't truly experienced Seattle coffee until you hit a Bikini Barista stand:)) p.s. I had to giggle when you commented on the amazing latte artwork because literally every barista in town does that basic leaf art. Its a requirement and the first thing you learn:)) Next time you come to Seattle, let me show you around. www.seattletimes.com/pacific-nw-magazine/you-might-be-getting-starbucks-order-wrong-heres-the-real-1st-location/
Are there any great coffee shops, cafes, or roasteries that we missed? Let us know below!
Coffeeholics, try the dream coffee it is soo good!
Victrola, Vivace, Cafe Allegro, Cafe Vita, Diva, Monorail Espresso, Boon Boona, Caffe Ladro, Lighthouse, so many impossible to name them all.

Some nice places. Yet, I do not understand Storyville handing out free porcelain mugs and then serving drinks in plastic cups to sit-down customers.
You are so right! That does seem strange! 😂 ☕️
