I just unboxed the blue one. Haven't even set it up yet, & haven't hardly played it. Just a few minutes. I'm hoping to get up into the music room tomorrow & get into it. The guitar is a bit of a mess, but looks like mostly just basic set-up stuff. Mine has pretty bad fret-sprout. I was disappointed in that. But I'll get the file out, & take care of it. Looking forward to getting into it. Congrats on these!
I have a couple blue ones, a yellow, & white. Love them, all modified. Buy the PRS screws for the bridge and go down to 2 springs, you’ll be happy

The white one is my favorite of the bunch. My brain always tells me to try an emg 81 in every guitar I own. I'm the guy who buys a guitar and the gets yet another emg 81. I have a few Jackson's too. We are similar in our habits lol.

I can confirm that the case works on other kramers. Works really well with my bew kramer striker with floyd.
These guitars are an absolute blast to play... I've had the pink one (Ruby Red) for a month now and even though I have a Charvel San Dimas and a Jackson JS34, every time I walk over to the guitar rack, I keep finding that I grab the Kramer. The neck is great, it's comfortable and fast... And the guitar is very light, much lighter than my other guitars.

I got one last week. Tonight I took the middle spring off, tightened the claw, and clipped the treble pot. Plays a lot smoother.

I bought one of these in March 2021. The fret ends were finished nicely, but the fret surfaces were very rough and gritty, once polished they played nice. The volume pot has no taper, it's either on or off, nothing in between, removing the treble bleed capacitor restored some taper. One of the holes that attach the saddles on the bridge is not in line with the others. The strap button screws are very short and thin, definitely needs to be replaced if you are going to use a strap. Some of the screw holes for the back cover plates and the humbucker ring are not drilled straight, as well as two of the four neck mounting holes, someone doesn't know how to use a drill. The paint job shows some waves and irregularities. There are a few deep scratches in the finish on the back of the neck and some jagged edges around the headstock. Overall, it plays well and sounds great once the frets are polished and the strings replaced. Worth the price if you are not too particular about the flaws in the fit and finish.

The White Kramer Baretta Special with the maple fingerboard does have a white headstock.

I have the Blue one, clip the treble bleed, put some pencil graphite in the slots for the nut, remove the middle spring and tighten the claw so the bridge is flush to the body, i lowered the pickup a time bit and you're good to go with no extra cost

Another example that maple fingerboards are brighter than rosewood/granadillo fingerboards. Can clearly hear the difference between the two.😉

just picked up a blue one and will put a floyd on it and JB pickup, theres a guy from greece that 3d prints the floyd nut shim & Tremalone floyd routing template so you don't have to sand it and it sits perfectly.

Will a normal Fender Strat fit into that Kramer case?
Sweetwater shipped me a B stock item. The fret board is chipped on the high E, right on the edge. A few frets had serious filing marks, as if someone filed them down to address fret buzz and didn't re-crown them. The tremolo claw was flush with the body so I can't quite get the tremolo bar tension correct. It's just not worth sending back a $200 guitar. Not sure if Sweetwater or the Kramer factory is to blame but the Sweetwater QC tech should have caught these issues. Other than those issues, love the guitar. Sounds great and plays like butter.
I think if a Guitar is under $200 at Sweetwater they don't look it over..its shipped as is..think I read that somewhere
The two you show in this video are the same two I've got. Going to put a Floyd Rose on the white one... black nickel hardware.

Personally, I would get the Kramer 84 model before I modded a special. The time and money you spend modding a special you could have a new 84. Also, if you sell it you will never get more than 300 for it. That being said, if you enjoy modding guitars as a hobby it's all good.
man that is so funny i went to go buy the blue one from my local guitar store.played it and to me it did not play or sound as warm as the white one... so that is why i bought the white one. just hearing this video proves to me that was not crazy i hear the differnece.
The added red board (not rosewood) on the white one must reduce the sharp highs a bit.

Its special tone paint. Gibson knows about it. Costs waaaay more

I got the black one with the rosewood fretboard before they quit using them then when all these new colors came out 2019 I got the pink one then in 2020 I got the purple and blue one imod them all out and put in all brass tremeloes CTS pots 500K Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio pickups I'm addicted to these guitars put five hundred bucks into them or less and they're fucking killer I put a tone Zone in the ruby red pink one it sounded better than the Gus G Jackson the red one that's out for $1,300 best $200 you can buy I got them all when they're 180 I got lucky to get them all when I got them I just sat around and waited and waited and waited check the website every day and they came in and I picked them up each within about four months of each other and I wasn't even going to buy any thing that year rock on brothers
How did you get two cases, they have been on back order for months.

Are the leo jaymz single cuts a good guitar I'm thinking about ordering 1 or 10 of them lol have you tried any of the Mitchell single cuts from guitar center you should do a review on them. Keep on Rockin my brother

Ever use the trem?
I would say about 8.5ish pounds..as is the trem will knock ya out of tune pretty quick and the spring tension is super tight..some better tuners and the removal of the middle spring helps that issue
