Gaby Alcantara shares with us his tastefully modified performance-oriented variant of the Toyota Yaris. With assistance from Toyota's Gazoo Racing (GR) division, the "GR Yaris" was built by Toyota to meet World Rally Championship (WRC) homologation rules with the intention of Toyota to compete with it in the WRC. With roughly only 130 units sold in the Philippines, this GR Yaris is truly a unique hot hatch that really brings out the rally driver in you.

As a gr Corolla here in the states…….you explained everything perfectly. I havnt looked for the long way home in many years, with driving other fabulous cars. These cars are made to be used it feels like.

A Rallye Car is never lowered, It requires more ground clearance. The GR Yaris is not a Track Tool, it,s a Rally Car !

Nice video and a great car! Like the stealthy mod approach did you lower the springs more to make the handling better or aesthetics? I want to lower mine but already v happy with handling and as it’s a rally car wondering if goes against cars ethos too have it too low
From what we understand from Gaby, he modified the suspension to achieve a nicer stance as well as better handling.

Hello subscribers and viewers, we understand that Gaby made a slight error with regards to the weight of the car. He mentioned it being 1,110 kg but this is in fact for the "Light Package" of the GR Yaris. The international version of the GR Yaris is slightly heavier at 1,280 kg.
