Vintage Story is a post-apocalyptic sandbox survival block-like game with Lovecraftian-like themes and a lot of lore. It's in early access and has a ton of options for how to play. It even has a thriving modding community and was built with modding in mind. It can get a bit overwhelming at times to try to undersdtand just how much there is available to you with this game so I've made this video (and others) to help you to understand from the basics to the advanced. If you enjoyed this video, be sure to like, comment, and subscribe if you also want to see more. This video was made using version 1.19.7 of Vintage Story with the StepUp and Zoom client side mods.

Ah, I know the pain of "forgot to hit record" quite well, brother. Great progress in the early game. You've had some pretty good luck with animals, both domestically and hostile, so far!
One thing to note is that while pigs cannot climb out of pits, certain species of goats, however, can.
I was going to comment about peat for the pit kilns, but you caught it yourself, so yay that!
Always packed dirt for my pit kilns, but the rocks were a good solution. Only had to burn down my house once to learn that lesson.
Pro tip. Ladders can be stored on any vertical surface.
Excellent presentation so far! I’m new to Vintage Story as a whole and your playthrough has been very informative :)
"...It's a moose, which could mean good eats..." FIght the MOOSE! FIght the moose! Fight THe Moose!
24:44 It's actually just once block off the pit kiln
Another great episode!
Great series man, keep it going. I really appreciate Vintage Story series. Wish I had an account 😢
Oh snap I didnt get notifications for pt1!!
Gonna go back to watch that, but keep on grinding. I love these videos! 😊

\o/
Hey, is Unearthed like the title of the videos or it's something else I am missing?
Loving the series so far, keep up the amazing work!!
It's the name I chose for the series as I am trying to make it a learning playthrough
than you sir
id really like a animal husbandry tutorial. would you make one?
I'll think about it. ;)
yay more VS!!
what if a wild fire starts burning? can u stop it by yourself?
yes... though it depends on how bad it is. create a fire break, tack out trees, water buckets, break on fire bushes, etc.
Fine
How do you have your containers floating over the object like that? Is it a mod?
It's vanilla, but I can't remember the command for it. I was rewatching this in hopes Vallen would say. I know he talked about it in his first or second VS playthrough. I am still trying to find it, once I do, I hope I can remember to come back and tell you.
@@tehNashty That would be appreciated, thank you!
@@thehiddenassassian Ok, the command is:
.clientconfig floatyGuis [1|0]
So, 1 in on and 0 is normal.
Have fun!
It's just turning on Immersive Mouse mode in the settings. :)
@@MischiefofMice Thanks Vallen, that command isn't doing anything. Says, "No such command"!
Currently replaying vintage story, my current goal is to build a nice house to bake a pie in
That's a fine goal
@@MischiefofMice trying to get tin so clearing the foundation and getting the stuff for it is easier
Rabbits and goats are both tamable. You can use a read basket into a trap and catch rabbits, chickens, and kids. (baby goats)

Hares
Hares can eat from a large trough, and can also consume any vegetable items tossed on the ground nearby. Though the Block info HUD will not indicate when they are ready to mate, adult females need to eat 2 portions[10] of food. If an adult male is within 10 blocks[11], she will become pregnant shortly. After a gestation period of 5 days,[12] hares bear litters of 1-4 leverets at a time.[13] Leverets take 336 game-hours to mature,[14] and the females need to wait 2-5 days[15] before they are ready to breed again.
After awhile, the Block info HUD will show that some of the hares are generation 1, i.e. not quite wild anymore. They still flee the player at gen 5, but not at gen 10.
Looks like I was wrong. Hares are tamable after all
@@MischiefofMice
Im sure it is a new part of the game. It is not even in the survival handbook.
more?
Yep. Just not today. Celebrating my wife's birthday. :)
