From a time when you could understand every word. I loved it.
And the script wasn’t full of profanities.

Film debut of Diana Dors. Derek Farr and Muriel Pavlow, the young lovers, married in real life soon after the picture was released. The film originated as a successful stage play in London, where it ran for about two years, but only played seven performances when it moved to Broadway (with Boris Karloff in the lead).
We are very happy that you liked the film. Thank you for your comment! ❤️🎬
How long did the marriage last?
@@Mark-gg6iy From 1947-1986, so 39 years.

@46:30 If Archie left shop without his hat on his head or in his hands, after punched by doctor, how does he have his hat on his head when he is making phone call in booth?
Oh nevermind. I went back and watched it again. The Doc threw the hat at Archie after he threw him out the door.
Jesus christ, does it matter? I presume you didn't enjoy the film if you can only make a comment like this,

The colourised print is an abomination especially the skin tones which make the faces seem like masks. Why was this unnecessary destruction of a fairly good movie done? Would they colourise ''Schindler's List''. I don't think so.

Get an eye examination.
Actually since the inception of black and white film it was always intended to be in colour except the technology had not been invented yet to film in colour. The history of film and how we went from black and white to colour is a very interesting one and how colour was always the final intention.
