@murphyslaw2020 Are those shiny bits on the bottom of the filter housing sign of the HPFP failing? Is it common to see that in filter housing when changing filter?

Hi i like to use oem for the fuel or something like MANN filters. The injector guy i use told me this il go off his word. The rest like oil air and pollen i would go with any good brands . From the part shop like bosch mann etc

In the event that I am unable to establish a connection with the computer, may I proceed with filling with diesel before screwing?
You can just make sure it's clean. And you can try prime the filter by cycling the ignition on and off without starting it may run the fuel pump
