Do the pipes fit in tight on the new heater core? Reason is I’ve bought a new one from eBay and after tightening the clamps it’s leaking badly from the clamps
They fit in flush with the core .Did you fit the o rings .
Am going to remove the old rings with the new ones and see if that stops the leak.
@CarlSmith-i8i put some rubber grease on the new o rings when you fit them. It will help them seal and easy fitting. I might have said it in the video i don't recall
What about the rear wiper?
In the event that I am unable to establish a connection with the computer, may I proceed with filling with diesel before screwing?
You can just make sure it's clean. And you can try prime the filter by cycling the ignition on and off without starting it may run the fuel pump
@murphyslaw2020 one more question! Is it better to use genuine parts or aftermarket ones? Like air filters fuel filter etc..
Hi i like to use oem for the fuel or something like MANN filters. The injector guy i use told me this il go off his word. The rest like oil air and pollen i would go with any good brands . From the part shop like bosch mann etc

Can you please tell me which one is the 3rd water pump? Is the one on timing belt?
It's hard to say . I did an audi and the 3rd pump was the heater pump. You will need to disconnect Each pump one at a time and read the fault code. To see what pump is gone. You can unplug the timing belt connector on the top of the engine very easy. The others will needed to be accessed from underneat

Hi most likely your egr. You do some tests on the motor is don't have a video about it how to test it but I'll have one on how there fail

Brilliant video. There's not much info on this online but a very common fault. My sisters C4 Grand Picasso 2016 had the common fault of a little heat from passenger side, none at all from drivers side. Watched this video and swapped the heater matrix out, took me 30 minutes, problem completely fixed 😄

Hello everyone, I have this problem on my 308. I try to see with a bottle of water where it is stuck. It appears the right side is okay because the water is dropping with the tyre hole but on the left side it doesn’t. However i am not sure if the water on the left side is supposed to evacuate on the right or left side. I would be glad if someone can give me that information. Thank you
Hi there is a vent on both sides if I recall correctly try cleaning them out.
That's not a C8
It's a 2019 a6. The c8 ran from 2019 to 2023 if I recall. I stand corrected. Let me know if im wrong
@@murphyslaw2020 i have a 2019 A7 and I can tell by the coolant expansion tank's location that it's not a C8. So it's most likely a C7 you have there. The coolant expansion tank is up by the passenger window on both A7 and A6 C8.
@nonamenoname4641 it's a c8 💯 ,the owner had a c7 before it. different interiors etc etc this car has the 2 touch screens. The c7 has pop out screen. The coolant tank maybe different on other engines etc But this a6 late 2019 c8 2.0 tdi
@@murphyslaw2020 Ok i see. Didn't get to the part with the 2 screens. Seems like UK model is vastly different from US model. Mine and my buddy's 2019 A7 and A6 have the same engine bay.

My car has exact same issue and the mechanic tried to close the leak but nothing worked What would you recommend be used to stop the leak ??
Hi water should not effect the engine. Replace the part it's the only option

I have the same problem with my audi a4 b8.5 1.8tfsi 2012 . Wen i plug this out it blows hot air wen i put it back and restart the car it blows cold air and if i pull it out its getting hot again. Did you have a error code wen you use obd. I did have coolant pump fault code 001020.

@@murphyslaw2020I followed the instructions, no debris or blockages but the only thing I didn't have was a long pokey thing to push down the drain hole. Using a watering can, could check that water did drain down by the tyre as you showed but perhaps there is a minor blockage I need to clear. The pollen filters were wet, and the cap that you remove to get to the filter was very wet.

My 2023 Audi C8 45 TSFI has a different air filter set up. Didnt see MAF sensor attached, but there's something attached to it that looks like PVC cranc case vent that i just cant figure out how to unclip it. Dont wanna risk breaking it.
Is it around pipe 25mm wide ?

Thanks for the good video. Also make a video about the dsg dq 400 e filter change, the silence of the filter is even more important than the oil change.
The customer didn't want to pay to get the filter done on this car. If I ever get one in, I'll video how to do it. If you read some of the comments it might give more of an insight on the filter

Think my 2013 Fiat Abarth blew a head gasket now cylinder 2 isn't firing at all which coincides with the lose of power and very rough running. Started after a white puff a smoke today this was after starting from a red light car was warmed up. It has been burning up oil and been seeing white puffs and some people have said blueish as well on startups off an on for a while now. Blah though no signs of coolant in the oil didn't think to check the coolant overflow for exhaust fumes though..
Might not be leaking into the coolant just into the next cylinder. A leak down test Might help you pin point it .
@@murphyslaw2020 turns out it badly needed new spark plugs which were original with 42k miles on em and the previous pcv valve that was sticking open and replaced probably fouled them up as well. Running nice again.

My 308 2019 1.5 hdi the heaters blow cold if i put to 20,21,22,23c ect but if i put high like 24 or higher i get some heat do you think this could be the problem? I am sure it was fine before cambelt and pump change 🤔 i also get a droaning noise once my engine is abit warm at idle but when cold i have no noise so something that changes with heat. Didnt get this either before the belt and pump change and the pump has been changed twice which no change 😖
Hi I'd say it needs bleeding there is a small cap at the back of the engine on the heater core pipes it's like a valve cap on a tyre . Undo it till coolant is coming out
Yes I have done this, someone told me earlier that if heater is on 22 or 22c ect heat won't come out and his is the same but I find that bizzare how that's normal I shouldn't have to have it on 24 or 25 and so on just to get heat surely 🤔🤣 @@murphyslaw2020

Hey bud have a 2014 vw up with semi automatic gearbox had clutch replacement and now car wont start its flashing n and red gear on using vcds to do basic settings but its saying error due to malfunction what to do?

i had my heater matrix replaced last winter and it hasn’t rly sorted my heating the left side is warm but not super warm and right side is cold. i have had it flushed around 3 seperate times and bled with odis. no different. could you do a video on how to flush it with water and what pipes ur supposed to disconnect ? i am going to spend a day flushing it my self and might even fit a different matrix cos idk what matrix the garage that did it put in it. also i work for VW they had a go at it and didn’t even sort it lol they also say don’t use the VW flush anymore because it destroys the pipes later down the road. as i said i had matrix replaced and flushed. didnt make a massive difference even tho my matrix was blocked. as say i tried the VW stuff aswell but they only did one flush with it for like half hour. i jsut want to run a flush for a couple hrs with water just don’t know how u do it? like do u disconnect bottom rad hoses and flow water thru the expansion tank or what?

@@murphyslaw2020 The only reason i was thinking about it was because it hadn't thrown up an error code and it was VCDS logs that pointed me in the direction of the egr, i was told by a Tech at Vw that what i was seeing was classic EGR cooler blockage....... But as you say i was expecting something a little more clean able but i'm not sure i want to do this job multiple times trying it. I admit i'm putting it off a bit at the moment but i have a OEM egr here ready to go at some point. I will go and watch your video. Thanks.

@K2edg normally the car will go into limp mode or the light will be on. Down on power or blocking of the dpf etc

Hello buddy, so I took the gear box out and when putting it back, it won’t align with the engine, so I took the actuator out and it fitted just right, now how do I get the actuator back in. Do I have to put it in assemble mode with the OBD ?
Is it the clutch or gear actuator you removed
Hallo mine in one of the selector motor when you just switch the engine on, m it moves in one direction and the motor is fully powered until it over heats, what could be the problem 🙏
