Fantastic card. Oh I was so surprised to see the pieces all separate when they came out of the die! I was also expecting one whole piece. But that is nice because you can place the ornaments where you want them. And I just loved how it turned out. I also have to agree with you- the boop is life! 🥰
CZ…such great technique tricks that you included in the video, using the grid lines on the craft mat to line up the ornaments is genius…these old eyes don’t “eyeball” too good anymore, LOL. Love the whisper….and don’t stop the BOOPS! Lovely card!

Okay you’ve made me make my decision on the heating tool. I’ve been thinking about it for the backgrounds, but to use it for embossing too!, who knew. Wonderful Card Cathy.
I had a vision (so to speak) of using Nuvo drops in white blizzard or Gina K glitz glitter gel in the white spaces of the ornaments. But that's when I thought there might be a stencil with those areas. Might have to get those stencils. 🤔

I love the card. When the sequins first went down, I just wasn't sure they were right. But then, when it was all done, it looked perfect! The gold of the sequins tied into the embossed greeting and it just worked beautifully. I had almost as much fun watching as you did making, but now I need to head to my craft room and make sonething! Thanks for all the fun and inspiration! (Oh, and I boop now too 🤣)
I use my Tim Holtz heat it tool for my background when using water for layering . I use the Wagner heat gun for my embossing due to how hot it gets for the embossing powder to melt properly . The heat it tool disperses the heat differently, as in a wider range, and the heat gun disperses the heat in more of a direct to paper method. That is my take on it. I know you can use the heat it tool for embossing, but I’m an inpatient person, and so I use what I think, as in the heat gun, to get the job done faster.
Had to come comment on the “boop”. Keep doing it!!! I actually boop my cat on the nose as a sign of affection. DAVID anyone????? When I heard you Boop your jewels it made me smile. I’ve even called my hubby in to watch you boop. It makes him laugh every time. Love you!!!!!

This card is absolutely priceless!! That press and seal is amazing. I must get myself some. The stencil set was wonderful. To see all the different layers it added. Your card is beautiful and whimsical and a classic for Christmas!! Never stop booping! It makes the card that much more special.
In one of his demonstrations Tim Holtz said, the heat tool should be used for drying not so much for embossing, but just like you, I like it exactly for that, because of the minimal warping. Cute card, Cathy, thanks for sharing 💜
These are lovely easy to use stencils. I have a lot of layering stencil sets from another brand which really confuses me. Just being able to line them up with the edges of the card looks soooo much easier. I find I don’t use mine as I end up with a headache. Will definitely be looking at these ones ❤️🇦🇺

I’m stunned you JUST got the TH heat gun! That’s so funny to me. I did the opposite, the TH first, got impatient, then got the Wagner. I now mostly use the Wagner for embossing, and the TH for drying.
Love it Cathy! I LOVE layering stencils and have been buying my fair share this year instead of stamps and dies!! I've been a little distracted lately (hubby had a total hip replacement a few days ago) and I didn't realize Pinkfresh had a Christmas layering stencil set. Think I'm going to have to pick that one up!!

I still have my first heating gun- and old Ranger in white. I replaced it with hotter gun a few years later. I may bring my old gun back out!
Still have mine too. In fact, lots of my craft stuff is vintage at this point. : )
