I Visited Hansa Park and Heide Park in One Day!

- In June 2024, I visited two German theme parks, Hansa Park and Heide Park in the same day! I got to experience incredible rides like Der Schwur Des Kärnan, Highlander, Colossos: Kampf der Giganten, and Flug der Dämonen, as well as many others!

Hansapark wasn’t busy whatsoever, so the only coasters with lines were Kärnan and Schlange von Midgard, so most of my time was spent on my Kärnan re-rides and I left by 14:00, so that gave me 4 hours to get to Heide Park and get some rides in!

Having just done both (yesterday and day before) I enjoyed Hansa-Park far more than Heide Park.
I actually like Kärnan’s layout (it’s insane from the front) but the reason it’s weird is because its shape is the theme - the outdoor bit forms a heart shape and the final (spoiler) element is on the heartline, continuing the story of how the king’s soul is trapped in the tower.
Hey, you HAVE to visit Phantasialand in Cologne. Its my favourite Themepark of all time! Its worth it!

Ah, Heide Park! Big Loop actually was my first true coaster. And while it isn't anything special these days, I still have a lot of positive nostalgia for that one (though I have no idea how it runs today, after they installed new (used) trains from another coaster. One time, I visited Heide Park during a bad weather day and heavy rains started to poor down, which left Big Loop pretty much with just us, because nobody else was coming. We convinced the operator to send us out again and again and had like about 12 back-to-back runs through the rain. By the end, the coaster felt more like a log flume with all the water we carried with us. ;) It was glorious and still one of my favorite coaster moments! Thanks for those memories, Heide Park!
Sounds like a great memory! I unfortunately was not a fan of Big Loop at all but every coaster has its fans for a reason
@@ThemeParkTeeroy Perfectly understandable. I like it because it was a personal rite of passage, first looper I rode. It isn't anything special in terms of layout and it probably is showing it age big time these days. Glad you had Colossus to make up for it. ;)
Big Loop was my first Rollercoaster. I was maf afraid of riding Rollercoaster but it being relatively mild helped me get over that and by the end of the day I gradually rode them all and lost my phobia.
You might be the first person I’ve ever seen that was disappointed by the layout of Kärnan but loves the layout of Krake, I haven’t been on Kärnan yet, but Krake was very disappointing to me, Baron clears it by a mile. I’m also curious whether or not Flug will still be your fav B&M wing after you’ve done Fenix
I think it may have something to do with my expectations for Kärnan along with how much better the theming is than the layout in my opinion. It’s more disappointment in how good I feel it should have been than distaste for what it is, it’s a weird case.
As for Krake, I just adore it for some reason and I kinda struggle to fully explain it. I just think that unique sequence of elements with the drop into the splashdown and THEN the Immelmann afterwards is insanely sick
I think the Layout of Krake is amazing - as long as there’s no line. For the short ride, it feels just wrong to wait longer than 10 minutes.
@@ThemeParkTeeroy maybe its because you rode it so early in the day, because everytime i ride it (live close to sierksdorf), its later in the afternoon and then it just rips through the layout, has insane laterals and airtime and just makes a lot of fun. Its just not the traditional hyper coaster layout, but i like that hansapark has done something that hasnt been done. The non inverting sea serpent roll (hansa calls it heart element) may look weird at first but it rides way better than if it was inverted in my opinion. Maybe you should just give it another try when its a bit warmer and later in the day
I dont think Kärnan's layout is the bad. The stengeldive got some crazy whip, its one of the best coasters for positives in europe and it got some good airtime moments. The way back to the tower is kinda slow though i give you that
Btw: Which row did you get on Kärnan? I feel like the row really matters on that ride . Imo its 1>2>4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>3

Heidepark is my Homepark. Flug der Dämonen is my favorite Ride 😂. I love the Airtime of Colossos but what do you think which Park is better?
Flug der Dämonen is an amazing coaster! And I’m not sure yet, but I imagine there will be a Park Ranking video at some point 🔜

Yes! I completely agree! Desert Race is f******* amazing. None stop action through the entire layout. Finally someone who admits it. :)
I know most wont agree, but personally I rank it even higher than Taron.
For me Kärnan is a giant low to the ground fun machine.
But your points make sense. It meanders around maybe due to the low height requirements. They market this coaster as a family ride. A 10year old child can ride Kärnan.
To ride this coaster you only have to be 2inches larger than for Novgorod.
The height requirement part makes sense for sure, I think the reason it disappointed me so much was because of how much potential it has. It could easily be the best coaster on earth with just a few more crazy elements throughout the layout

wow both of my other (used to be) home parks in one day.
Im a bit suprised that youre not much of a fan of kaernan (personal #1 but a decent part of that is due to emotions) its been quite a few years and dont remember it being rough, but your points about the layout are valid.
Otherwise im suprised that you like Krake, Daemonen and Colossos (my #3) so much. although the last time i rode colossos was before the retrack. i think many people where dissapointet that they chose to not go with rmc. especially suprising to me is how much you seem to like dessert race, personally ive allways loved it but have so far only heard negative things about it.
I think I come off a bit more negative about Karnan in this video than I really am (I was completely exhausted that morning). I was just disappointed by the layout considering how incredible the queue and dark ride portion of the ride is.
