Ayy were almost at the period where I'll know basically everything. The only ones I've full on read up to this point are Hibari Kun, Fuma No Kojiro, City Hunter, Kinnikuman Dr Slump and Captain Tsubasa.
3:13 this was actually due to combining chapters into volume releases being a common practice in the 80s. Captain Tsubasa. Cobra and Ginga do the same. And Kurumada would also do this in saint seiya. My assumption is that they would just combine shorter chapters so that the volumes were longer.
the Iron Don Quijote one looks really cool and its interesting to see what he worked one before fist of the north star. hopefully the translation can get finished
Bestie Kurumada's art is Really bad 😅 I al latin american, i love saint seiya, but the manga looks awful, he has no sense of perspective or anatomy at all and his mc always looks the same
Ohhh I disagree, Kurumada's arts really unique and I think super pretty at times! You don't need perfect perspective or anatomy to have "good art" though his protags admittedly do all look the same which is something I wish he changed haha
Babe wake up, TrentinArt posted.
I'm up. im up

Yeahh lots of cool stuff coming up as well as more well known stuff though theres a ton of untranslated things still to sift through

Yeahh I figured that out a while back, thank you though
Your history of jump videos literally bring me so much joy whenever they come out because the scratches the part of my brain that loves deep dives:)
Aww thank you glad they can inspire joy!
I'd never realized both Hara and Saruwatari's weird sports series they made before their big hits had debuted the same year.
Fun coincidence!!
really puts into perspective how crazy it is that Saruwatari is still on the weekly manga grind in 2024
You’re so close to 2000!
Uhhhhh Well 17 years! Thats more than I've covered so far haha
@@TrentinArt I think they meant the subscriber count.
@@CalmTrickster03 Ahahaha Oh damn I think so too now. It shows where my priorities are lol
Love this series, you're my favourite manga youtuber and I hope you grow fast!
Awww tysm I'm glad you like my videos enough to say that!

Even if Fuma No Kojiro story doesn't look anything special, the artstyle of the background is really beautiful. Especially that moon panel. ❤
100%!! Very cool artwork, I like Masumi Kurumada's style a ton
These videos are pretty cool. It’s nice to see what Japan was liking in the 80s when it comes to Jump.
Glad you like them, theyre fun to research and make!
The 80's keep building and building on some of my favourites that SJ had to offer at the time hell yeah
Yeahhh its exciting to see the magazine take shape into what people know as its golden age!
