Fiber Glass Preparation Before Prime and Paint.
Fiberglass is a fragile composite compared to steel so extra precautions need to be taken, especially when you are prepping hand laid fiberglass on Classic Cars and Muscle Cars from 1950’s and 1960” such as Corvettes and Muscle Car parts such as Shelby Mustang hoods, scoops, trunk lids and front valances. Pin holes were a common occurrence on these parts during the Manufacturing process with hand laid parts and some issues although less with injection molded fiberglass procedures. Cleaning out each pit and filling with Ever Coat slick sand is a permanent solution when done properly as demonstrated in this video. In order to eliminate bubbles in the paint once you are done follow along as we show you how to get it right the first time.

I have a body shop working on my 97 Cobra SVT Black. They are having this bubbling problem on the hood. I have sent them this link. They may need a little more assistance. Is there an email or phone number where they can contact you?
