Paper cited: Curhan GC, Willett WC, Speizer FE, Stampfer MJ. Intake of vitamins B6 and C and the risk of kidney stones in women. J Am Soc Nephrol. 1999 Apr;10(4):840-5. doi: 10.1681/ASN.V104840. PMID: 10203369.
“The relation between the intake of vitamins B6 and C and the risk of symptomatic kidney stones were prospectively studied in a cohort of 85,557 women with no history of kidney stones. Semiquantitative food-frequency questionnaires were used to assess vitamin consumption from both foods and supplements. A total of 1078 incident cases of kidney stones was documented during the 14-yr follow-up period. A high intake of vitamin B6 was inversely associated with risk of stone formation. After adjusting for other dietary factors, the relative risk of incident stone formation for women in the highest category of B6 intake (greater than or =40 mg/d) compared with the lowest category (less than3 mg/d) was 0.66 (95% confidence interval, 0.44 to 0.98). In contrast, vitamin C intake was not associated with risk. The multivariate relative risk for women in the highest category of vitamin C intake (greater than or =1500 mg/d) compared with the lowest category (less than 250 mg/d) was 1.06 (95% confidence interval, 0.69 to 1.64). Large doses of vitamin B6 may reduce the risk of kidney stone formation in women. Routine restriction of vitamin C to prevent stone formation appears unwarranted.*

This description surrounding the vitamin E (for me 800IU of the D-alpha tocopherol with the 4 other tocoperhols was required to see the result) it changed everything for me. All the pain and vision issues and I am confident even more issues will resolve keeping these four nutrients in balance at adequate levels to keep oxalate metabolism from becoming imbalanced. I was doing the magnesium, P-5-P B6, and liposomal glutothione with its cofactors for better metabolism yet the pain was through the roof with the oxalate content increasing. The day I added in 800IU of the vitamin E because of this video, I felt a warmth overcome my body, my vision literally the day of began to get less blurry, and stiffness began to subside. It goes to show you when you miss just one part of the recipe of right metabolic pathway support you will not solve your issue. Thanks for making this practitioner less ignorant today!
P.S. I had taken the exact vitamin E at 400 or 500IU a day to no avail multiple times a day daily for weeks. It wasn't until this video and Osborne's Vitamin E Crash Course video where he mentioned higher doses when there is a vitamin E deficit that I put it together that I just didn't have the right dose of the vitamin E. And another thing to notate as I added in the vitamin B6 my issues got worse initially until I got the vitamin E dose level correct. On top of this based on Ray Peat's work I would suggest people stick with the D-alpha tocopherol type of vitamin E only away from the soy oil blends. In his work he suggests more or less to have something closer to wheat germ oil. The one I am taking Unique E I have a bottle before they went to a soy version so I am not sure which I will use next until I research. I know there is great debate whether people should use the tocotrienols however to my current understanding this might be too strong. Sticking with a alpha dominant with some mixed tocopherols seems wise.

Great info! Question: is the reason for the IVC important in terms of adding magnesium to the drip? For example, if the purpose of the IVC is for cancer, would adding magnesium to the drip interfere with the anti-cancer action of the IVC? Same question, but for adding glutathione to the drip? Or do you prefer to add glutathione orally? Or would you prefer a glutathione precursor like NAC orally? What dosage of P5P would you recommend? And when ideally should each of these things be dosed in relation to the timing of the IVC, so that they do not interfere with the anti-cancer action of the IVC? What level of GFR or creatinine would you consider to be adequate for embarking upon a high dose (15-100g) IVC regimen? Thank you! 😊

B6 toxicity is likely due to B2 deficiency and molybdenum. There is an enzyme which breaks it down. Check out enzyme AOX1.

I started to wonder about Vita K2 in regards as to why/how it works as I have been thinking about something lately. That being - Since many of us eat acid forming foods, and this can pull calcium and likely other minerals from the bones. Is this a Good idea to take K2 due to this? I basically radically my dairy and am sure that I don't get enough calcium and the calcium supplements from quality health food retailers suck due to poor formulations - way too much oxide as opposed to perhaps in Bisglycinate or Glycinate forms. I continue to take magnesium at at least 700 mg in the Bisglycinate form. All Multies are a poor source of both. I cut my Dairy down a great deal/ Thanks

Bone and marrow supplements can give you bioavailable elemental calcium if you’re looking for that. And a good amount of calcium is in it too if that’s what you need

Also, the half life of vitamin k2 mk-7 is much longer than k2 mk-4, so if you want to supplement, the best form is k2 mk-7. Or you could try to buy or try to make natto if you want a whole food with plenty of k2 mk-7.
