What makes me laugh is that everyone's laughing at the ML's but in actual fact the BMW X5's are the ones which are sliding, tossing up a ton of dirt, digging tracks like a dog with a bone, splattering mud all over their bodywork, and the Mercedes ML's are going through the elements quite cleanly and are not making anywhere near as much of a fuss. People need to learn that Mercedes has a lot more experience with engineering civil and military products then BMW ever had. BMW had nothing to do with the German army during the war. Only Mercedes were good enough for Hitler and his Nazi's. BMW weren't. ..

The X5 has Wider tires and sport tires at that, Mr science guy of course the x5 will be making a mess. Had 4 wheel steering and all, but that's besides the point.

BMW were totally behind Mercedes in every possible way. Even Hilter didn't turn to BMW for presidential flag-ship vehicles to represent Germany. I'm not saying BMW is rubbish and I won't write them off as they do build some really awesome diesels like the 3.0 litre twin and triple turbo diesel range. And they seem to get more MPG for power than any other car. And they seem to be very robust and reliable with it. I'll fair that score in favour of BMW but they do not have the ability or the engineering excellence to build and engineer anything that can handle the off road world and explore other elements. BMW are brilliant for the racetrack and the tarmac but they are useless anywhere else. Mercedes engineered everything they built to do well whatever they went. Sadly the same can't be said about BMW. which is a shame because they actually built decent road cars.
@@1ns4ne1d10t Nah I’m saying the X5 in the video is spec out with the sport wheels. Not all X5s are built the same. The one in the video looks a mess because it’s running 19s staggered setup on sport tires. Depending on how you spec your X5 you can get a squared setup 17s rims, all terrain tires and it will 100 percent be ready for real off-road, I’ve done real off-roading in the X5 and they’re not useless, they didn’t make the X5 for true 4x4 that’s right but depending on how your X5 is built it may be really good or horrible. There’s X5s and including new GLEs that have staggered setup sport tires with lowered m sport suspension and a body kit literally the worst spec for off-road, G wagons as well come with sport tires staggered setup depending on spec. The latest X5 (with the off-road pack) for example comes with a locking diff, a variable transfer case, 22 inch water depth, (off-road tires through the dealer**) and air suspension which can raise it to 10.3 inches of clearance which btw is more than the GLE, and G wagon, and only a few points off the Range Rover sports highest setting. But then again very few X5s are spec with it unfortunately that’s not BMWs fault or the X5, it’s the way people want them and the u.s don’t use them for its purpose but I definitely do. The ultimate spec is a 3.0d or 40i with the off-road pack if it’s not that then I say it’s not fair to judge the X5s true off-road capabilities.

Nice!! The editing is so amazing .. You can actually feel the cars going everywhere with blazing speeds! Edit it more maybe the cars will do more in off-road. Seriously now ... get some proper car for off-roading , when u go buy any of these the seller will not allow you to go on a drive test off-road .. not even a soft one :( Nobody is advertising them for their off-road capabilities and no owner manual will encourage you to do off-road in these cars...
King Eden BMWs owner manual for X5 states it can go off-road, my E53 does and have been seriously off-roading by myself. You need skill going off-road that’s it
