Have you ever heard of the multi-mix design using art Deco pieces mixed with industrial style pieces with geometric shapes and cubist style art with modern furniture.
Those styles are my total jam. I have picture files with how I see each room looking and surprisingly they all look really good and I don't even know how to decorate. LOL
I mix designs all the time; You can definitely come out with something awesome doing it.

I love this! How do you scale a chandelier properly for the size of a space?
Thanks Helen! I actually eyeball this to a degree.... There's no hard rule for me.
I want the chandelier to be an obviously noticeable piece, but I don't want it to overwhelm the space and look like a cartoon.
In general, I would say that I try to have the chandelier's width stay within 25% of the room's width.

chandeliers are really expensive, wall lights are much better value and they look great massed in 1930s american art deco style.
