Climbing South Sister | Oregon Backcountry Adventure

- Climbing South Sister, in the Oregon Cascades, is a popular excursion. South Sister's peak reaches to 10,363 ft. It's a non technical climb but a strenuous hike. In this video Silas and Andréa are joined by good friend Jason, (aka T), for four days of exploring the Three Sisters Wilderness area located in the Oregon Cascades to celebrate the fall equinox and breath the fresh mountain air. They take a less common route to the top of the mountain, do some cross country hiking and swim in a hidden meadow lake.
Silas and Andréa have been making adventure UA-cam videos since the start of the pandemic when they decided they wanted to spend more time doing the things they love most.....exploring the most beautiful and wild parts of this incredible planet.
Subscribe to their channel to help them reach a wider audience and consider helping support the adventures through a online purchase of some of Andréa's all natural body care products made with organic ingredients and plastic-free packaging. Happy Equinox lovelies!
Equinox blessings to you ✨💛✨
Looks like a great adventure and a beautiful area 👍
Thanks for watching. The Sister's Wilderness Area has so much to offer.
Thank you for sharing! Looks like such a beautiful area!!
Thanks for watching. There's so much to explore in that area that we'll have to return another time.
I have climbed south sister but we started from the devil's lake campground! it's so beautiful at the top!
Awesome. We've also climbed it from Moraine Lake but never Devil's Lake Campground. It's an incredible view.
I am living vicariously through your adventures, green with envy. I still miss your face at Saturday Market. What is the elevation at the peak you climbed?
Hi there! I haven't seen you at market in awhile. Hope you're doing alright. Elevation at top of South Sister is 10,358. This was my second time climbing it and definitely prefer the Green Lakes Route because there are fewer hikers going up that way although there is also less of a trail and more just a general direction of navigating.
Well shit, you should’ve stopped by. We’re sitting here talking about solar power!
I want to get out there for a visit….lots of incentive money coming around next year for solar.
