    I agree with what you said about the 250cc sized bikes. I am an 85kg male, and have had loads of fun and incredible riding on a 250cc Suzuki.

      It's funny, I now live in Vietnam, have 5 bikes and none are over 155cc 😂 For the roads here, it's very rare you need any more, though I do think a 250cc would be great for touring.

    I've had my eye on one of these for a while now. They are my style of bike.
    I'm currently riding a 750 tourer.
    Going down the cc wouldn't really bother me as the 250 would suit my purpose.
    But if a mutt 400 ever came available I'd be all over that! So do I wait or still go with the 250 🤔
    Thanks for showing us it does sound great 👍

    • @RichRides
      @RichRides  3 роки тому

      Yes, there have been rumours of a 400cc for a couple of years but it has never materialised. Depending on use (i.e. no big tours) then actually the 250cc is fine imo

    This is probably the first motorbike review I have seen, that was filmed by a submariner. Where is the horizon? Is that really how you ride, looking 10-15 meters ahead? It made me feel really uncomfortable watching it. I seem to be alone in this view, but it is still valid. Make another, you might get more 'likes'

    Hello, 2 things one is out of curiosity is (I know you listen to the engine and that) at what speeds are you changing up (roughly) secondly what's ur cruising speed around 50-55mph
    And something else ice just thought of, how does it cope with hills and winds?
    Many thanks.
    Good video btw.

    • @RichRides
      @RichRides  5 років тому +1

      Hi MIke, it was a while ago and I only had it for the day so can't remember about changing up. As you say, just from the noise etc, you know when to change gear though. Cruising speed could be much higher than that on this 250cc rather than the 125cc engine so would be happy on dual carriageways and even motorway speeds. For the same reason, it was fine with hills too as it has much more power than the 125 (21hp from memory so about double). It's still a light bike though so will be affected by side winds but the big tyres help to make it feel more planted than a lot of light bikes.

      Like any small capacity bike it wouldn't be ideal for this (21bhp and a top speed of 80mph) if you needed to do any real distance. Plenty of room on the seat though so would be far better to take the scenic routes at a leisurely pace!

      Hi, I rode 10k motorway miles last winter commuting on my Kawasaki KLX250. Got approx 85 mpg (with full road tyres) on a 85 mile round trip. A little engine can do more than you think. Have a large touring bike but it had more than twice the running costs overall hence being a cheap skate I used the 250cc.
