Yeah, Odin has a few issues! Thinking and reasoning being two of them!
Maybe they should change the name of Asgard to "Silly Looking Hat World". Who designs the headgear there?
I'm surprised "Rainbow Bridge Haberdashery" is still in business.
Not just in Asgard. I've seen some ridiculous looking Easter bonnets in my time.
Baron Zemo (the same one from the Captain America episodes... I think) recruited Mr. Hyde into the version of the Masters of Evil who took over the Avenger's mansion. He was one of the people who beat Hercules into a coma. He also beat the hell out of Jarvis.
He escaped from the Vault (Rocky Mountain Supervillain prison) during Iron Man's armor wars (the powered armor guardsmen suits used his stolen tech, and when he went after them a mess of villains escaped). Steve Rogers (he wasn't Captain America then, long story) stopped Hyde, taunting him about how he was a such a big man able to beat up defenseless butlers. I believe Rogers effectively smashed his shield edge against Hyde's throat as Hyde was probably out of his weight class.
Cobra eventually joined the Serpent Society, a group of a dozen or so snake themed villains. Captain America (Rogers) stopped them a number of times, but the guy who put it together (who went by Sidewinder) had a teleportation ability he used to spring captured members from jail. Indeed, in one comic he was passing out everybody's cut for the year, which was either seven or eight figures. As villain groups go, it was very effective. They eventually collapsed in a civil war wheen Viper and a mess of her own snake themed villains tried some sort of hostile takeover and the society collapsed. Cobra eventually led some of them, restylizing himself "King Cobra", but it was never the same. That's what happens when you oust the guy with the business plan and his own "get out of jail free" card.
This was my biggest beef with the Lee/Kirby THOR stories. Odin was consistently as dumb as a box of rocks. Only when Walt Simonson took over the strip in the eighties, was Odin as wise and clever as he was supposed to be.

Loki should have enlisted Sylvester Stallone as Cobra.
Maybe then Loki would have been lucky.
Mr. Hyde and the Cobra were a much better villainous team against Daredevil
