Thanks Robert. A little Rough looking at the moment but good to see that corner of the room with the 3 levels coming together. Helps that I quit my job and its winter. Cheers Mate!! Andy M
as a person that used a drywall saw it get everywhere id wait on hot knife ive got one on order myself.but I like where your going with it ill keep watching
Hot Knife has arrived and I will take your advice for sure. Also plan on using a Sure-Foam? Plane. will show in video. Both tunnels now closed up, off to Vegas for a week in the Am Andy M
Thank You So Much Mike. I will definitely take your advice.. After I have the second tunnel closed in I will show everybody all the tools that i have collected and can be used for carving before starting. "Wait till you see this double sided saw I have from my Passed away Father-in-law". Peace Andy M
You can use a 12" Serrated Bread Knife to carve foam too. Would much rather use The Hot Wire Foam Factory brand cutter. Pricey but worth it's weight in gold if doing vast amounts of foam work. Good luck Andy and please keep sharing your HO modeling endeavors.
If it was me, I would still increase the size of that intermodal yard! Lol. My layout hopefully will have an 8" x 24 feet train yard and a 30" x 24 feet intermodal/autorack yard! With 3 grain elevators 6"-8" wide x 4'-5' long, cold storage warehouse, team track transfer and 60" square truck stop. RH
RH Wow I Cant Wait to see that, Sounds Great. I just don't have the Room on that side of the Train Room. My yards pretty long though on the other side. Have you Ever been in the New CSX Worcester Massachusetts Yard??
@@CONTAINERMAN68 Google Worcester Mass CSX Franklin Street yard. They have (4) Rubber wheeled Mi jacks now that straddle 2 tracks and 2 trucks on either side and (1) Single track for I don't know 1/2 Mile track each? Yard starts at CP 45 and Ends at CP 42 LOL. Either way they are never overwhelmed with 4 working but the space is full of trucks and they are looking for storage room.
@@apmazurka I drive by the BNSF Memphis Intermodal Facility along US-78. They have 6 tower cranes working their yard. I bet it's only about 1-1/2 miles long! Trucks, trailers, containers and chassis all over the place! I got a friend that hauls containers in and out of the new Kansas City Logistics Facility near Gardner,KS! They also have 6 tower cranes and that space is about 2 miles long! RH
Andy your on a roll with this build, will be good to see this transform cheers Robert

Thanks again Jim.
Looking a little Rough at the moment but I believe it will work.

Hi Andy, A wire brush works well for shaping the foam board too. Just use your shop vacuum while carving. Nice update. Mike

I also have a skinny hand saw my father in law left me which is about 3" wide at the most with teeth on BOTH sides.
Looking good. I love the roadway and retaining walls in the section next to the foam. Give my regards to lois, Chris, Meg, Brian, and Stewie.
Thanks Cindi, Not Quite sure who those people are though.
