gotta say, after the characters progressed so much in terms of maturity and burying the hatchet, it feels like backpedaling to see the same rivalries again, with Daniel vs Johnny, Sam vs Tory, Miguel vs Robby and all that…I thought we moved past all that 😅 nevertheless SO pumped for this, season 5 was my favorite, I hope this can deliver!
Johnny and Daniel will always have those tense moments, I don't think they are setting up a longer conflict between then. As with Robby and Miguel, I doubt any conflict will happen either, its that both are definitely thinking abt facing each other again which may cause some tense moments. I disagree with the Sam and Tory thing cus they had the moment last season but I think there's more drama there than there ever was between Robby and Miguel so I think it makes sense it might take a bit more time. And this is especially true due to Tory's personality compared to lets say Robby's
So freaking pumped for this. I would gladly put Cobra Kai among my all time favorite shows, and I can’t wait to see how it all ends as well as more LaRusso and Johnny duo scenes 😂🐍

I’m pumped for this final season but I just hope there isn’t another conflict that just separates the main kids as well as Daniel and Johnny once again. It was cool once but wouldn’t feel right if it happened again. Probably won’t though.

You have to remember that the trailer is like 2:00 minutes of footage compared to like 3 hours worth of episodes were actually gonna get so I wouldn’t be too worried just yet

When it cuts to Johnny saying "since when do i run shit by you" hes wearing a different shirt than the cuts before and after when Daniel is talking so it is possible the conflict between them is way less than the trailer indicates.
First four seasons were great then the 5th season was still good but not as focused and now I’m hoping the 6th season can bring back the vibes
Interesting. Season 5 was my second favorite season. I can see what you mean by not as focused but I don't think it drew away from the show like that.

I agree with the nervousness because yeah it's like every season it's something that gets between them and they fight it out, but it's not resolved still 😅

In other footage Tory is wearing the same kind of gi that Barnes is wearing. In season 5 - he only mentions his wife (no kids) - just a thought don't rip my head off - but is it possible that the couple do a guardian thing for Tory and her little brother because of their mom? This way too it keeps her greedy aunt from going after mom's checks!

Man I have just one theory since many things are the same, as in the heat among each other 😂 but miguel saying this about robby can only mean that robby is end game. Either in the tournament or in a fight for life against that Kim Boy! But now what's in the box. 😅 that must lead to Mr Han and China to connect the dots finally and set up.the kk24 movie. Or it's leading to Julie. But what if it's about Chozen and he is the son of miyagi 😮😮😮 that would be a twist!!!
This could be a sign of seasonal rot that every show will go through if it goes on long enough.
I don’t think so, they’ve been working on it for Almost 2 years which is longer than what they usually do and the creators have delivered every season. I don5 see why they wouldn’t on this one.
Ok a few things
1.the father that needs a son and a son that needs a father is also a repeat story, so we don’t need that as a focus if anything the story should focus on the kid growing up into young adults
2.im ok with Daniel And Johnny having a disagreement for one episode just don’t make it a season arc that was a mistake in Season 4
3. In season 4, Daniel learned he should do things his way and not copy Miyagi. So just because Miyagi wouldn’t do the tournament doesn’t mean Daniel has to do the same.
4.also they also made a commitment to the tournament with test and everything. It would be a douche move to back out just because they only wanted to undercut Silver.
5. Miguel vs Robby is different this time, it’s not because they hate each other, it’s to prove who’s the best

Season 6 looks to be a mixed bag, I’m guessing this first part is mainly gonna be first act kinda stuff so I expect part 2 and 3 to really go nuts

Kreese and Kim Da-Eun traveled to East Asia where the Fist Method emerged and got new fighters from Korea and will train the fighters from Korea in the same place where Kreese and Silver trained with master Kim Sun-Yung

Happy first day of July 2024 and first week
I'm a little whelmed, while I love Cobra Kai, a world tournament is not where my head is. It feels like a lot of the same old same old just with higher stakes. Like oh look more miyagi secrets, more how do we balance training with both styles, more of the Johnny-Daniel, Tory-Sam, Robbie-Miguel rivalries, just hoping that there's more interesting conflict that the show is saving as a surprise
Part of me does feel like cobra kai strayed away from what nade it great in the first few seasons
Part of me was always a bit apprehensive about them fighting in a world tournament seems a bit too high stake's for me when in the first season winning a tournament in your state was already a big deal
I hopr they win the ultimate tournament
Mannn im hyped up even more than to watch the boys season 4 or stranger things season 5 or even wrestlemania
I really doubt the primal conflict between johnny and daniel won't be that big it'll probably be a small plot line in a ep maybe but that's it. I also don't get why u would be concerned about a lot of backyard fighting in the trailer, they are preparing for a world tournament and I highly doubt they would show what's going on the outside as much.
Sean what do you think about Kreese from the trailer? I'm concerned his role this season is going to be forced.
I want to know how he crossed the pond to get to his location since he's a fugitive.

3:08 agree you would think by now in S6 this riffs they have would be over by now. The conflict does not need to come from those two it needs to be them vs the other schools. It seems like every season its them going at it then they come together to take on Silver.
There is only so many times you can do that before it becomes repetitive.

@@478Johnnyboy again only repetitive conflict would be johnny vs daniel. Kenny redemption arc is not repetitive along with tory and sam relationship hasn't concluded as well. I can't wait till part 2 that's going to be an entire different version of the show.

Honesty, season 4 should've been the final season. They could just include some plot points from season 5 in 4 and make that tournament be the culmination of everything

It’s a movie I’m interested in but it dropped during a very busy window and like you said there’s not a lot of buzz. So it’s tough to find a window to see it and cover it

Part of me happy cobra kais coming to an end six seasons is a respectable amount if they did it any longer my interest would probably diminish with it
I seem to be in the minority in the fandom but i agree with you it did seem to be quite underwhelming.
Nothing really hyped me for it compared to previous trailers.
Daniel and Johnny clashing over styles yet again. Thought that was meant to be over. Just another retread.
Stuff with Miguel/Robby and Sam/Tory seems really repetitive at this point.
S5 seemed like the right time to end it. No more Cobra Kai qhd and the rivalries had ended. Seems like it could be a struggle to find new material that isnt rehashing plots from previous seasons.

It's been one of my favourite shows in recent years but have felt it should have ended at S5, with a short epilogue. Nothing uet to sway me but maybe the main plots could be part 2 and 3.
I'm 100 percent with you on it. Season 5 ended perfectly. No real need for season 6. The story is no longer intriguing or personal and I don't feel there's any real high stakes anymore with the idea of the World Tournament. Its like Mortal Kombat for kids. lol I'm still going to watch it though just to finish the series!!!

I started to roll my eyes at some of the conflicts in this trailer. It's just the same feuds with the same people and that stuff has already been resolved. It's a little weird. Still, this season looks fun. And I'm not surprised that Kreese is doing his own thing where he doesn't have to worry about prosecution. If Miyagi has magic powers, I might be annoyed, though.

Typical cobra kai storyline of course this is part 1 so i expecting drama teen love story 2 masters each other for fighting style this is the last season so i just enjoying this season

That doesn't really address my issue of recycling plotlines and setting a goal which isn't as compelling or relatable.
the only recycling plotline would be daniel and johnny butting heads but that's it. I get the concern but I wouldn't be concerned about it because I don't think it'll be a big plotline at all.
The high school melodrama is getting old. Robby and Miguel settled their beef- don't want to see it come back. Tory and Samantha is tired. All that said, I can't wait to see it. I will binge it at midnight when it drops
I’m tired of seeing Sam vs. Tory, Robbie vs. Miguel, Kramer vs. Kramer…haven’t we been seeing all this since Season 2?? And I don’t need Kreese back. At least it’s ending. And I will watch the final season. I’ll just be happy to see it all end.

Cobra Kai is my favorite show of all time, but you might be right about them constantly revisiting the same things over and over again, and that’s why it might best that this is there last season, So Cobra Kai ends on the best note possible.
