    I love your vids. keep them coming. Just a quick question. Did you ever extend the wheel base with some high clearance links and if so where did you get them from?.. Thank you

      Yea I did extend it just a bit. And I used InTheWorks RC links.

    I think I the reason you’re breaking housing is the portal covers. The portals already provide more leverage then a drag axel because of the offset wheel which makes slamming them harder on housings. Adding outside weight just makes it worse. I do brass diff covers to keep the weights inside where it’s strong while still adding weight. Nice video tho

    • @cobywinn7196
      @cobywinn7196 2 роки тому

      Me and my brother both have them and do quit a bit of technical crawling and wedges. Plus maybe a Little Rock bouncing on our way out of the trails🤣 never broke a housing

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  2 роки тому

      I’ve broken and seen break completely stock, Capra and 10.3. Granted axial has changed their plastics even on these I believe since they first came out.

    Tks for insight video of mod. Like to have some weight in front but am not sure I should get brass steering knuckles set or just portal cover only ? There are seems too many combo weights for considerations…..A - steer knuckles w 55g, B - Portal Cover only - 47.5g, C is A + B = 102.5g , D - Round shape Heavier Knuckles only 95g, E - Round Shape Knuckkes + Portal Cover = 142.5g , F - Heavier Round Shape Portal cover = 85g…..Your thoughts pls?

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  2 роки тому

      I generally will do like and aluminum knuckle and a brass portal cover, size depending on what wheels I use.

    Been wondering if my Capra would qualify for Class 3 at Crawlapalooza. I have 4.75 tires on mine. Think it will be competitive or need to step up to 2.2s? Just dont really like the scale look of 2.2s. Got my Class 1 setup and ready to go just trying to have multiple trucks to run.

    • @TRDAdventures
      @TRDAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      For class 3 at Crawlapalooza it has to have 2.2s one on it.

      @@TRDAdventures Thats what I was worried about. Would it not qualify for Class 2?

    I have a well tuned Capra and well tuned "sport". Cannot compare the two. Sport outdoes it every single time. Ssd sells the same overdrive. In 30 yrs of building kits, i've never been as disappointed as i was with the Axial capra kit build.

      You seem to have a lot of crawler knowledge. I've been playing with RC for a long time but mainly bashing and oval track racing. Crawling is fairly new to me. Started with a trx4 and now I'm currently building a capra kit. I see where you talk about adding weight at the portals on the front. Would adding weight to the wheels be a possible option?
