- Happy New Year! Here is our first upload of 2024...we're finally getting to our Guatemala series! Guatemala has so much to offer, we only scratched the surface during our trip. Antigua is beautiful and we didn't even get to experience it at its best (weather wise). Please enjoy part one of our time spent in Antigua, Guatemala. Yes the pronunciation of Antigua sounds like the first 3 letters of the word Gua-temala. Great video

Antigua, Spanish word… it is pronounced just ONE WAY….. antigua..!!! If you see the word, antigua, you pronounce it, antigua, ….!!., it doesn’t have 2 different pronunciations……..

I live in Roatan, Honduras and spent a long weekend in Antigua this past November for my bday and their amazing annual Festival de Flores .
The trick to enjoy the stunning floral arrangements is to get out by 7am and walk around the city before the crowds descend upon the city.
I was lucky enough to meet of the organizers who gaved me this invalueble advice!
Check out the Charleston for exquistive cocktails-iTs a speakeasy, so the front looks like a gentlemen' clothing store.
Catch sunsets from one of the many roof top restaurants/bars.
Go to the lake for atleast 2 days. Do one of the overnight volcano tours!

The tittle of your video is on target . As a Guatemalan I have to say my country is beautiful , it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves as a tourist destination . Hope you had fun exploring Guate , as we locals call it.

I recommend going to the various museums in Antigua. They are really nice, there is one for Guatemalan art history and the other is for Guatemalan archaeology

I traveled to Guatemala in 2012 and it was an amazing experience.

Hi guys, I love your video. It is fantastic. If you have time to explore Guatemala City, I recommend it. I know the news on the internet is only sometimes favorable. But the big city has a lot to offer. Zone 4 has a beautiful area called 4 grados Norte. The nightlife is superb. I recommend Zone 1, Centro Historico, and 9 and 10. Zone 16 has a beautiful city called Cayala. Like any city, safety depends on us!! Saludos and feliz viajes.

You guys are definitely a pair of very smart travelers since you are chosen to visit an underrated country that has so much to offer in term of places to enjoy. Guatemala may not have beautiful beaches. But you can find beaches anywhere. But not the type of climate, places and friendly people you'll find in Guatemala at very affordable prices.

First, loved the video. I have been considering Guatemala City and Antigua since last fall. I actually went to Mexico City November 2023 and just returned back from Costa Rica on Monday. As I stated earlier, Antigua and Guatemala City are my main focus. Do you have any experience or any information on how safe the main city is? Continue to travel and explore....

One day in 2019 we watched “The Game Changers” on Netflix and after that he stopped eating meat cold turkey! He slowly added in certain types of fish, so technically he is a pescatarian.

How do y'all find so much time to travel with working and being a pastor?
Aaron is part of a pastoral team where all responsibilities are spread. When Covid first hit all of his work was virtual so we took advantage of that! Now we don’t travel during weekends and Aaron still does a lot of work virtual. What the vlogs don’t see is us in our room because he’s conducting a Zoom meeting or on the phone 😆
