I choked up when I saw Leo and his aunt walking hand in hand up the snowy yard, with mom, dad, uncle, and beloved friend up working on the house and brother safely napping right inside. What a charmed life situation you've set up for yourself right now! You are blessed.

Dr advocate #4 Whatever you do 'do not' consider homeopathy until you have exhausted your time, $$ and Likas rehab potential. lol I know you love your freedom, fam/pets and DIY everything but I became bulletproof after learning homeopathy! At 72 am better than 40 yrs! I cannot tell you all the work a day injuries for me and the hubby even a bike accident with concussion, brain bleed and whiplash all aced with homeopathy to the chagrin of follow up drs! aced as in preventing a lot of premature and longterm dibility. Come on childbirth w/o drugs and Drs you can do this! Homeo/pets sites!

The older you get, the more bittersweet, and also beautiful, Christmas becomes. I hope yours is filled with much more joy than sadness as I think it will, especially with a new little one to share it with. And on another note, we lived in a very old house for many years with tons of opportunities for critters to come in. One very wet summer we had an infestation of rats in the dirt floor basement and the walls and ceilings have held mice, squirrels, birds and yellow jackets. Our electricity went off one day and we discovered under the upstairs floorboards that a mouse had electrocuted himself and started a small fire which never got going, but scorched the wood. It was never ending. They are persistent and have little else to do in their spare time besides look for cozy, protected spaces to hang out. Hope you get that figured out as the house slowly gets buttoned up for the winter. The house decorations look lovely and Leo is at an age where he can better appreciate and maybe even someday remember a little about this Christmas with his new baby brother.

When I built my house, we had clay as a wet mess around the house. A Farmer friend suggested using straw on top of the clay and it made a lot of the mud mess go away when working on the area. You may want to try it in a spot to see if it might work for your soil type. Winter work struggles are real!

Trent got some house building skills, he's sometimes very modest, it's like I don't know if he knows how good he is, not everybody can build a home 🏠. Trent is the man, he's got his long time trustworthy crew, Brandon and Grayson the homies, I get a kick out of how much Leo has learned, putting sentences together now. It's cute and awesome, shows how smart he is. And Billy, with that adorable baby face,🤗 his cute laugh and smile brightens up the day. God bless those 2 lil boys. 🐕🙏🏼 Hey Allie does your dad still stay downstairs in the room. Hope he's doing well.👍

i'm 61 (almost 62 in march), and I only decorated a stand-less 4' fake tree ($4) on top of an old lamp post. I wish I could participate in "Christmas Joy" with my 1 1/2 year grand baby, but the stroke has made me difficult to keep up with them. their too fast for me to understand everything. I am on the last topic whether they understand me or not. I'm too old at 61 years of age. I went from playing foosball in a weekly league, to nearly dead in one small stroke after a 18 mile bicycle ride two years ago and yet, I'm a plant eater since 2012. demn sleep ApNea! Now it's just simple couch potato, YT university and this old keypad. Sorry, I can't share in the Christmas spirit this year and maybe never again.

Allie, have you heard of “baby led weaning”? It’s very popular in the U.K. and is a practice where babies aged 6 months or older jump straight to finger foods as soon as solids are introduced, bypassing purées and mashed up food. It allows babies to learn how to chew (or gum) first, then swallow. I have used both methods as I brought my own babies up the traditional “puree” way, but as a childminder find baby led weaning amazing, and saves so much time! X

Funny, I started watching you'll for years and I saw you'll as young adventurous adults and compared your ages to my grandkids. And today I realized you'll were total adults. Looks, actions and KIDS!!! I am a great grandma. I have surely enjoyed you.

I would highly recommend looking into hydrotherapy for Lika. It would help her with her muscle building and atrophy tremendously while being easy on her body.

A few well placed trail cams could solve the critter mystery and provide some extra lovely mountain footage 😀

Holidays are tough for me now that I am a bonafide senior citizen. At 71 years old, all of my aunts and uncles are gone. My dad died over 50 years ago, my mom died in 2018. My sister died last June. My father in-law-law who I was close to died in 2005, my mother-in-law is 90 and not doing well. All I have left are some cousins I have no contact with and my wife and daughter who has no kids. Lots more folks under the ground than above it. Lots of good memories though.

The first Christmas was the hardest when I lost my parents. It was also my mom's favorite time of year, so the holidays are always hard.

Poor Lika, have you looked in water therapy or physical rehab. It will help her as she ages to help strengthen the front end now.

Hi Trent and Allie and Leo and of course cute Billy. That siding is really looking so great and beautiful and it will be so good getting it completed before you get a ton of snow. I love how that covered deck keeps alot of that snow from bunching up higher and deeper. I also love all of the Christmas decor it is so much fun. Merry Merry Christmas to all of you, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🥰🤗🎄🎄🎉💕💚💜💜💜

Bait and trap whatever it is has always worked for me. You can put a temporary shelf up for a small live trap.

Trent you should try a water level to do your siding. It made of a 100 foot long vinyl tube filled with colored water. You take the ends out and the water seeks level. You go around the house Corner to corner making a mark. They will be level

Allie, decorating for Christmas is a great way to connect your present and past. I collected for more than 40 years. However, my husband & I downsized and relocated over the summer. I spent a few months sorting through the ornaments and decor determining what to keep, toss and give away. It was worthwhile taking my time -- all of the decorations are giving my husband & me much joy. And it was lovely to see that my niece incorporated my village into hers.
