I've watched the whole video with a smile on my face, I've never been in Whistler but your work made me feel like i was there. You're an awesome story teller
Seth, you are a "legitimate, talented filmmaker." Your videos are also educational and can stand on their own without the artistic component, and I think that leads to a lot of your audience not noticing the thought that goes into how you direct and shoot them (which is great for educating, I've never once been distracted by lousy quality). But trust that many totally appreciate and respect the creative component of your work.
I'll admit I don't often watch the same video twice right after each other but man this 1 I did. When the music kicked in during that heli drop run I got the chills! Superb editing seth, this is top shelf!
Hey seth i just want to tell you how mich your vidoes mean to be my mom is going through cancer treatments and your videos are what help keep me sane i plan on getting some of your products soon
You are doing it right, my guy. My mom also went through cancer treatment and I know it’s a rough time. The biggest piece of advise I have to to keep positive at all times. I see that you posted this comment a while ago, so I hope things have gotten better for you and your family!
You lived more life in those almost 12 mins of video than a lot of people do in years! That was great and congrats for 3rd! I'm a desert guy up in WA for work, I'm loving the trails up here (but miss the dez)
Don’t get me wrong, amazing video. However I feel like it should’ve been split up into two or 3 separate vids. I’d like to see more of raging river and more of whistler separately. Keep it up seth

Hope to see you guys working together again I would give you five thumbs up but i only have two lol again great work guys👌👌🤘🤘
I am so jealous, killed my bike 2 weeks ago (it was a Walmart special:) ) and now I'm waiting for my Specialized pitch sport to come in, and it's killing me :( Please keep up the videos, if I can't ride, at least I can watch
So am I!! I just got my bike 3 months ago I use it to commute to work 4 times a week and when I can I practice position, skills and ride some trails. Seth inspired me to begin and hopefully we'll ride at Whistler one day!
The smoke over in Washington is really annoying because I do bmx racing and the air quality is so bad that it makes it seem like the air is on fire. But it doesn’t affect my breathing that much because I don’t have asthma but I can only imagine what it is like for people with asthma and how hard/bad the air is to breathe.
------///////-/:__________________________ yeah I live in the Columbia basin (the desert ) which is where all the smoke from Canada just sits but luckily it’s windy which means I might be able to go riding tomorrow
Wow, a dude from the flat lands of Florida, reaching many cyclers across the globe. Almost a mil subs, way to go! I live in South Florida as well, LORD willing, I will be able to ride Whistler next month. A dream come true. I just won't be doing the heli drop thing, cuz that is way out of my budget.
I watched all the listed dirt diaries entries and I liked each and every one of them. The only thing that stood out to me was the first place going to Mother Earth, don't really get that decision. In itself it's a nice little video with great production quality and some neat ideas but it didn't come together as a whole to tell a story. It felt like an incoherent series of nice but meaningless shots of people riding and fooling around in costumes. The narration sounded alright but with a critical ear it was definitely super amateur and improvised. Felt like they didn't really work out what they wanted to tell me with the entire video. "It's nature bra. Y'know. Trees and tomahawks an' shiet." Sounds a bit harsh but it's all because I enjoyed the other entries that much more. If I had to rank them I'd be struggling to choose a winner between Deflated and A Bigger Swing Set. Absolutely great job on your entry!
I love it when you go to Whistler, one of the most beautiful places to film. I used to live near Qualicum Bay on Vancouver Island so I know what it's live over on the West Coast. I now live in New York.
Him: it made it challenging Me: challenging!? You should ride near me, there’s god dam thorn bushes on either side, thin trails so you can’t avoid them and you clothes/skin won’t last 1 trail. And I can’t go fast... because I suck, I’m a snowboarder, but I live in south Australia so I can’t ride until I go to Victoria. So I ride mtb.
With production quality like this video...and many others, it's no surprise you did so well in the Dirt Diaries Entry. You would do well to start producing videos for others--for money. :)

It's doable, but with the braking bumps it's definitely an advanced thing to try. To go fast enough to clear the jumps would require hands and wrists of steel.
@@patmentoring6391 i live in mn so seeing him go to duluth really made me realize how much of a mistake it was to invest in a road bike, probably going to sell my current bike and buy a decent mountain bike

I was at whistler the week before you for the first time. It's like disney for mountain bikers! I also didn't experience the smoke you did, crazy how that happened.
That heli-drop looks like a real Bucket List thing to do. Anyone know how much it costs? And can green/blue level riders descend from the top safely? I'd love to experience the mountaintop and the lakes etc, but don't have the skills for black runs.
This is my favorite of your videos that I have seen so far. Also love the one where you build Alex a custom van. Binge watching your videos lately (since ordering a new bike), I believe you have gotten better and better over the years to the point that many of your videos go beyond just biking to feel sort of life enhancing, lifestyle type influence. I like how you have become increasingly positive (in my opinion) and worldly, yet true to your roots and your home life. Anyway thanks and best wishes going forward. I'm sure you are a favorite channel for a lot of people.
I’ve been to Whistler 3 times with my school band and I really want to go mountain biking there! Although I would need to get a better bike and improve my skills!
