This is my favorite song off the album. My husband is an painter/artist, and I am absolutely in love with the song. Ed Sheeran continues to sing my life, and I am here to keep listening! ❤
Im a Jamaican man who is absolutely enamored with ed sheerans music. As a black man, I'm not suppose to listen to this. Rap and hip hop should laden my playlist...and they do to some extent. But Ed sheeran is such a smooth and brilliant escape from reality. When the day is over, and my mask comes off, and ai no longer have to be a tough guy to endure the world..I relate most to this music. Autumn leaves took me through my first breakup. I sung photograph at my talent show. Sofa was played during my first summer fling. Afire love took me through my high-school breakup.
And one day, I want Ed sheeran to sing at my wedding. You aren't recognized enough in the black community, but im here to leave my flowers. Absolutely breathtaking music. I get chills every time.

This song is beautiful. Just closing your eyes, visualizing how in reality love is actually different shades right? Somedays it's all blues and some days all red. I think this is such a metophorically way and artisty way of relating love with different shades.

I’m coming from one of those people that is hurting wanting to give up and honestly this song makes me seriously free.. No regret other than those I never told what I wanted to say. Every Ed Sheeran fan should if possible travel to The Suffolk coast with there loved one or ones and sit anywhere on one of many beautiful parts of our coastline and then listen to this masterpiece of an Album , I drove from ipswich to Walberswick and sat down with my phone and just listened , the most peace I've ever had after listening , I lost my wife and my father 3 years ago and really didn't know if I would be able to do it but I found peace within myself , ty Ed for this wonderful journey 🔵⚪️💙

I feel full of love for Ed's grandmother.
They has ever probably seen the polar lights together.
She probably told Ed many different kinds of stories - fairy tales, Greek mythology, etc.
Telling the stories, she may have drew something about her stories using the stars in the skies.
In the lyrics, colors means the all the sweet and bitter experiences of the stories (and our life).
For example, "deeper in dark blue" may mean Ed felt so sad while listening some Greek tragedy in his childhood,
and it also means Ed's sorrow for her dying grandmother at the time he wrote this song.
My late father is a man who also loves telling story.

I listened and cried time after time.
