Hi Nick, I have told you how much I love flying my Nickie and that’s a fact but 3 months ago I contacted the guys in Chatsworth and they set me up with a BAF bee 75 HD 03 and half a dozen tat 450 batteries. I didn’t want the responsibility of putting one together with the little difference in price. I do so love flying the little bugger in the house and shop but the great flights are out to check on the chickens. The bee don’t scare the birds like the larger drones do. In fact it doesn’t bother them at all. I have flown it into the barn a couple of times and a tree or two with no real damage only scrapes. I got mine with ExpressLRS so range has never been a problem. I use the Dji goggles2 with x-air antennas and have alerts on the Radiomaster 16 set to 3.6 v so I always make it back to the house. I do recommend multiple batteries if one gets the little Acrobee75, it’s addictive. Thanks again Nick for getting us into the hobby and thanks to the Chatworth men for answering my stupid questions and setting me up with this drone. I’m not mentioning the companies name because I don’t know the rules. GB. Sincerely, Other Pops
Post Script: It was really nice to see how nice the Bee can fly when someone who knows what they are doing has the sticks. LoL 😊

I put my Mobula 8 into a Mobula 7 frame to make this a while back, I get about the same flight time on 380mah batteries, but that’s almost constant freestyle or fast racing, not leisurely pace. All I had to adapt was to make a small step adaptor to lift the vista/03 cadge up slightly so the props didn’t hit it, I don’t get jello either. I do prefer the Mobula 8 for outdoor freestyle though.

11:35 them antennas are omni directional buddy.. or you can get linear ones like that as-well but i am sure there the omni ones, so if you can find some omni directional antennas for your goggles as-well you could get much better range there's a-lot to be learned about different type of antennas its a verry deep dive once you start realising how many different ones and different polarisation antennas there actually is and you need to match the polarization on your goggle antennas to the antennas on your drone.
There just SOO much to learn about antenna's especially if you want the best VTX signal :P

Sorry to say if you are a new drone pilot or not experienced on working in small tight areas, I would not buy this drone.
You probably will have to do repairs and it's not for the faint of heart.
If you do get one, put a dab of hot glue or welder on the antenna connectors on the fc board.
One of mine popped off and it took two men and a boy to get it back on.

Cool to see a retail DJI 75mm. Shame you didn't take it for a thrash test, you know for science heh. I wouldn't expect much, maybe some in air drift style flying with that weight. If I ran DJI I'd be okay with crusing inside in this. Shame about that 03 mount, looks like it's an odd design you need to "Bend" as you try to slide the VTX in there. It's putting an 03 unit into a 75mm whoop so that counts for something. Thanks for sharing, so much good stuff coming out, you'd think there's a holiday coming or something ;-) Cheers!

I don't like the O3 cage at all. Everything you said, plus the retention "teeth" are uncomfortably close to antennas and they try to grab every vent slot when removing and reassembling. Battery side of FC died on me. They offered to check it out but wanted everything back(not just the fc) and this is the only camera I have and I didn't want to go without it for however long their process takes. I've heard their electronics may not be as robust as others but maybe it's just this new G4. Everything works except motors when powered by usb. Just imagine how much better this would fly with a Naked Vista! SO MUCH LIGTHER! Forget the 4K recording or the 03 cameras capabilities! I DON'T CARE! This is so delicate and has lost all of it's fun flying it because it's a cinematic only drone, that it's a no go for me. O3 has it's place, but IMO, this isn't it! Naked Vista would make this sooooo much lighter, more maneuverable, and a lot cheaper too. And we'd all still get the craZy good image quality that the Vista supplies!
