If he sang it with this power in the esc 2011 he would be the winner
Ακριβώς. Τέτοιου είδους τραγούδια αν δεν αποδοθούν σωστά live, χάνονται.
If the song hadn't been lowered in key, as well. This version was perfect.
@Euroviking86 the singer who needs his own song to be lowered down is not a singer! Sorry
The best French entry in Eurovision Song Contest...
Greetings from Greece
The best french song...in italian🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
he sings like an angel and he is so beautiful on an mysterious way.
I love his voice and his face. xx
The incredible beauty and strength of both the song and singer brings tears in my eyes, each time! 🙂🥲
I loved this song, it was fantastic. It made me stop what I was doing just so I could cose my eyes and listen to it fully ! Truly amazing voice and meody ! I had hoped it would have won,the song, and singer deserved it!
Greetings from Slovenia !
He was too good for the Eurovision Song Contest
His live performance wasn't. Don't get me wrong, i really like this song. But let's not act like this lackluster performance didn't happen. Can happen to anyone everytime, to bad it happened this evening.
Agree, this masterpiece was too good to the contest. Is true that he didn't sang perfectly but he had technical issues. However, even having "a bad day" he was miles above from the rest
If you don't understand that's not french it's Corsican
+On NeRespecte Rien I understand because it's very close to Italian.
so its more french or italian?
It's more related to Italian than French
Isn't it basically a dialect of Italian?
@@tFighterPilot not all:
many words are understandable, others, for me at least (I'm emilian) are a mistery
If he had only sounded like this in the finale he would have won...but he seemed to get lost in his own song and did not sound convincing. But in this video he is...fantastic!!
He should have won 10 times over. My favourite eurovision song, but then again i dont know thaaat many years.
He didn't perform this well at the finals.
Milos is right. The song is wonderful, this video confirms this guy can sing, however in the show itself he was too nervous and that ruined his vocal performance. It was a real pity. If he nerves didn't kill him like that, he would indeed be the winner, and then this would indeed be one of the best French entries, if not one of the best ESC entries in general. I felt so sorry for him seeing him struggling against his nerves there on the stage. I've never felt so sorry for an artist. I wanted him to win so bad.... :'(
This song is such amazing and deserved a way better place than it got at the contest!! Awsume singer!!! Greetings from Austria!
I get chills every time I listen to this song.... :)) just love it....
2 minutes and 50 seconds of pure excellence ....
Perfect!I love this song and Amaury Vassily. One of the best songs in Eurovision history.Ilonchik.
if his hair was blond, he would look EXACTLY like france from hetalia
he is gorgeous and has a miraculous voice... it was truly fantastic!!!!!!!
This young man has an extraordinary talent and it's great to see a young man bring such class to a contest like the Eurovision. I only just discovered that he sang the AVATAR theme song. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@akirasusai
He doesn't sing in Neaples dialect but in Corsic dialect, whis is actually very close to italian and to some of its dialects, so i understand it's easy to be confused if you're not italian... i think it was very admirable of France to present a song in this language!
And thanks for "Italy rocks" :-D hope ppl liked the song of our return to esc!
best eurovision song soo farrrrrrrrrrr..........
greetings from Brazil, south America
It's just so beautiful. He has an amazing voice! Greetings from Hungary.
It's a real shame because that year, France was the favourite of the bookmakers. But Amaury didn't have a comeback in his ear, which he did, so he sang off-key. Anyway, congratulations to him .
Beautiful....just beautifuuul. The beauty of Art!!!
France.....France.....France!!!
This man's voice gives me some hope for the 21st century's music world.
lindíssima esta canção adorei, foi pena não ter a classificação que merecia!
wowo his voice is breathtaking, it gave me goosebumps
Woww!! no words can describe this song and his voice!...One of the best entries from France!... I Love it
This is a really beautiful song, I sure hope everyone is ready for it!
i love it, really want it to win, and Corsican what a beautiful language
12 points from Hungary, i love this song, his voice, and this guy
@vibrani It is in in Corsican. Its fair to see Corsica represented and given importance, for it's an integral part of France.
@emidka Perhaps, because such extraordinary energy and power of this song has not reached to the poor hearts of Europe. This unparalleled talent and an extremely nice person. His work deserves the world's best ratings! But let him not upset, millions of listeners love it anyway! He is divine!
@Wardstone99p I just mean that the "East Block" is pretty new in competition and it has been alot of complainments on them. My point is that when a country from the "East Block" wins, you can't blame it on neighboursvoting.
I see Europe as Europe, that's a truth, but countries like Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Romania, Moldova etc. are pretty new in the contest.
People forgot what Eurovision was established for. It suppose to be all European countries presenting their culture through a song. I think France did a phenomenal job by presenting this classical piece (history), a real music, real instruments, real talent. It is a part of who they are. No one should say this song sucks..
It is sad that everything is made by computers, even artists voices are polished to sound better.
I am Polish but I give standing ovation for French Eurovision Song!!!!!!!!!
This guy right here is amazing..! I mean what a voice and he is just 21 i think..! he has a great talent to show for those that they know how music is..! Greetings from Greece..!
La quinzième place de M; Vassili importe peu ! Son talent est prouvé dans le monde entier maintenant. Superbe chanson en langue corse et magnifique interprétation.
Still listening to this song, 2 years later. How many Eurovision songs can you say that about? Just beautiful, magnificent.
its so cray that someone can sing like this its so beautiful
I think more eurovision songs should be like this one :)
i love hes voice so much! he is already a even more than good singer! but he's going to be extremly famous for sure!!!
I heard this song and it was so beautiful it made me want to cry:) way 2 amazing for Eurovision
Happened the same to me 🖤 I listened to it again since some time ago and still gives me goosebumps
this song is so beautiful.......makes me cry each time i hear it
@Wardstone99p
You're very right. The SFRY (Yugoslavia) was a collection of 6 countries that often do vote for each other. The same happens in the Scandinavian 5: Sweden; Finland; Iceland; Denmark; Norway. It's just classic Eurovision, and generally the Eastern side of Europe band together more, whereas we just vote for whoever was random. Good old Blighty...
@TheOlympe Man,people with different musical taste than you are not 'deaf' they are just different.I liked France song,it was in my top 5,but remember 43 countries had their best in this contest and some songs gathered more fans than others that's all! France's entry was beautiful no need to be upset if some songs had more voters.
Very good! Even didn't expect such songs to be on Eurovision. Wow. So beautiful.
Too beautiful song,! This past week since Eurovision, I had to listen to it everyday! Thubs Up for Amaury! :D
And....To those people who keep putting negative comments here: if you dont like, dont watch and let other people enjoy this song peacefully
If more countries sing as well as this contestant then the Eurovision Song Contest might become bearable to watch
Mon gagnant 2011❤❤❤❤
בהחלט
His voice took me by suprise. I love it. With love from America
Bravo Maestro ! I really hope that this wins tomorrow night.
Estaba todo AMAÑADO CONCURSO . TONGO O TOTAL de Eurovisión
Amaury VASSILI is a Norman, which makes him the next best thing to being English.
Great talent, I hope that France wins this year!
It's amazing !!!! I really like song , video, singer :)) one of the best.probably gonna vote for it
Ohh my God what a song....he has an Angel voise , that song deserve to take from all countries 12 points . Personal i give 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 points to this song. I hope France win the contest beacuse if not will be a really shame !!! Good luck France !!
this song was huge... huge.... great... belissimoooooo... it gave me goose bumps.. it was so beautiful. Im so sad it didnt get more points :(
Watching it again I think the advantage this song has over the others is that its 'different' and so that makes it more memorable.
Congratulations to France for this beautiful song. From Greece.
@Shaqify32 My country Romania is in the contest for almost 20 years, from the beginning of the 90.This is not too new.I know you said lot a good things about East but I just wanted to point out that East countries are very diverse, sometimes in historical rivalry with neighbours(like Azerbaijan and Armenia or Russia) they are not a block against West countries. The only small voting blocks that could exist are on ethnic basis(the scandinavians, the germanics, the russians in 3 countries, yougoslavs..
the best one i've seen on this year eurosong! the dude is awesome! :)
i hope you win this year!!good luck from Cyprus!
The Best song in ESC this year!!!!!!
Once of the best songs i have ever heared!! Great singer!! You are a winner for me France!!
Love from Greece
great song and this is something different for eurovision !!great and greetings from greece
my respect to France for always putting great music and not trolling the winner's song or something; this is what I call sportsmanship!
Greetings from Azerbaijan! cool music.
maybe he didn't win the eurovision but he definelitly won my heart!
@palmtreehomonculus me and my dad argue about this language thing all the time, i like the idea of it being in their own languages but the fact of the matter it is a competition and if you want your song to have wide appeal you have to sing in a language that is recognised all over europe, not everyone knows all the languages of europe (as much as i would like that)
I had heard the beautiful voice of this young man sing before... - he has risen to a new level. . . This is a beautiful song - captivating... enrapturing with an element of romantic epic poetry which makes you soar. . . However, I would have liked to see him project a bit more as I know he CAN do better than this. Despite this, he has talent and should continue onto the world stage. BRAVO!! APPLAUSE!
@21JKa Because it's something different. None of the other songs are *clear* winners because none of the are good enough to stand up strongly against the rest. In that climate a song that's different is more likely to succeed. It'll depend on the mood of the audience... but don't dismiss Amaury just because he's different.
Everything is Eurovision! Nothing´s too much! Should´ve won! Amazing!
as eurovision is about singing..this song should be 1..
Love for Greece...
WONDERFUL song..
@Sportymike You are very right! Unfortunately, most people couldn't care less about such fine things and never notice it.
He has an amazing vocal, his voice color is so beautiful ...
He is Prince Charming from France. Beautiful and talented.
Love this song even we are in 2021 I am still listing to this song. Magical
He has such a BEAUTIFUL voice....He should have won the contest. 12 points for France!!!!!! :)
I like this song, i don't know if it's Eurovision material, but it is a very good song.
France always surprises me...one year Patricia Kaas with that slow song, then Jessy Matador and now this. First place for the surprise element but euro fans don't usually respond well to such songs. Maybe it will make the difference...
I am Greek and i cant understand why we were so high on place.. This song should be in top 3.. if not first..
Beautiful!
I'm so excited for this :)
He's an angel!!! And his song is awesome... what a voice!! Greeting from Greece :)
very nice!!!!!!!!!!!congratulations from greece!!!
@MultiKamelo CORSICA WAS AN ITALIAN SPEAKING ISLAND, AND HAS HAD A FRANCIFICATION DONE ON IT, MUCH LIKE THE CHANNEL ISLANDS HAVE CHANGED FROM FRENCH TO ENGLISH.
ok, i actually really really like this
i love beautiful voices. he undoubtedly has one
yeahhh!!!! im from greece and i believe next winner of eurovision is FRANCE!!! grecce lovec france!!!!!this song is great!!!12 points from grecce!!!!
Amaury Vassili chose to sing in Corsican because it is closer to Italian than French, and in his opinion Italian is the best language to sing classical music in. However Corsican is a regional language/dialect of France and Amaury himself is French. So this is very much a French entry. I will be voting for this on Saturday! :D
@thetarnishedsoviet, I agree. Nina's direct translation from Serbian to English had much more character than the English version.
Finally someone that sings opera in the Eurovision.
I'm french and in 2011, I really thought that we will win with that but it is not something you are used to hear in Eurovision so France didn't win... Well, I can still hear that all I want.
the true vinner of eurovision, he won in our hearths
WOW!!! One of my favourites too! Awesome!!!
wow.
awesome music and just loved his voice....
this is very different from what we've seen in eurovision...really different...
wish him the best of luck :)
best song!!
greets from greece..
favorite Eurovision 2011...and the final 15th place
that's due to the fact that those 3 minutes on stage determine the winner. Unfortunately, he didn't deliver a spectacular performance
Alex4u The nerves got the better of him. I could see it in his face he was about to die on that stage, and he did mess it up as a result, and I was really sad to see that happen. But you are right, he didn't deliver the performance we were all hoping for (and for which he was also the bookmaker's favorite).
Winning and nothing less!
12 POINTS From GREECE !
@faeladikelabrady Amaury Vassili is French, he's singing Corsican (A French dialect) and he's representing France. So you got 1 out of 3 right.
great song! thanks for it!
He is so loveable.
best song of the evening, by far.
its not everyone's type of music genre but he has an amazing voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jmojca His language is Corsican from Corsica, it's very similar to Italian but there are many differences, for example:
Sognu (Corsican) = Sogno (Italian) = Dream (English)
Anyway it's a beautiful song, one of my favourite songs at Eurovision
