For this week’s Tutorial Tidbit Barb from ‪@joggles‬ I are just giddy about a new tool that we have created to help align your layered gel prints. Have you ever made a gel print SO PRETTY that you want to frame it? With this registration tool you can print multiple layers on your Gel Plate and keep them perfectly aligned along the edges. This tool is laser cut acrylic, it’s the exact same height and has the exact sized opening to fit the 8x10 Gel Plate. It’s even got etched registration marks to align both 9x12 and 8x5 x 11 paper for prints that are centered on the page.

I think you should make a registration tool for each size plate, in particular, the largest 16 x 20. I love making large prints ( 140 lb paper, Golden open acrylics). Your techniques are inspiring.

If you manufacture the “thingie” to be lower in height than the jello plate, it will probably be easier to not get paint on it.
