Between the age of 9 & 14, Stoner won 41 dirt & long track titles & 70 state titles. Age 12; Over 1 weekend he raced in 5 different categories in all 7 rounds of each capacity; a weekend consisting of 35 different races. Not only did he compete in all these categories & different engine capacities, the young Casey Stoner went on to win 32 out of the 35 races. There were five Australian titles to be won that weekend, Stoner won all 5. He won the English 125cc Aprilia Championship in 2000.
Dude, when Stoner was winning on the Ducati, he still had world class riders like Capirossi, Melandri & Hayden as teammates and none of them were able to ride it like Casey. Even in his last year at Ducati, he won 3 races. Ducati gave every updates that Rossi and Burgess asked for, still Rossi couldn't make it work! Rossi was not used to non Japanese GP bikes. He couldn't adapt to the V4 power delivery, trellis frame and the carbon swingarm. That's the hard truth!

stoner at motogp (ducati and honda) was pure skill and craziness... especially when he was with ducati, he was able to tame the most difficult bike to control, that valentino rossi himself couldn't do the same... greatest of all time indeed..
Stoner & Rossi are both already 2 of the GOATs. They both won titles with different teams. MM is for sure a great in the making but not a GOAT candidate yet. Winning titles with different teams is very hard to achieve. And i cannot see MM can achieve it,YET. We'll see.

He won the title in his rookie year with a bike built for Dani. Nobody has done it. He has the lowest lean angle and the best crash saving technique. This guy has it all. He also won this in an era with no shenanigans like the " Rossi midnight specials"

Without a doubt one of the most technically brilliant riders of the modern era. Even Rossi, Agostini, Rainey and other Legends of the sport have publicly stated Casey's one of the best ever. So sad to see a field of riders without him, hopefully things change within the sport very soon that prompt him to make a return...

PHX Master yes, and they did it on track, not in front of the press. the difference between true legends and one's who try to force their way onto the list of legends. besides them, giacomo agostini is still a bigger legend than rossi. agostini won 122 races in 186 starts - rossi has only 114 wins in 338 starts (less wins in more than double the amount of starts). rossi is a "legend" because he has been around for so long, not because he is breaking records.

It would be GREAT if Casey would come back to MotoGP since he has left I have seen his riding style was copied by many, but he is the one who would force others to push harder and change there racing style, was very disappointed to see how he was treated and disrespected for it, and Honda has control of his riding rights they want Marc to be the next legend, which is not a problem as long as Repsol has the backing of HRC, love what Rossi is doing at his age for the older fans like myself it is GREAT to see, but with Casey back on a factory bike would be even better!!!

2010: Stoner got 3x wins, 2x second, 4x third places. 2011: Rossi only got a single third place. 2010 & 2011 ducati are almost the same bike. Rossi himself admitted that he is not in the same level of Stoner.

personally, for me, the sport wont be the same. I only just started following the sport in the last few years, as I became a rider myself. it will be hard to feel apart of this sport over here in australia, without stoner at the front line.

Stoner, along with Bayliss and Kato, was the only rider who competed (or, talking about Kato, could have competed) with Rossi when he was in his prime.

I personally think Stoner is a better rider than Rossi, coming from someone who is a Rossi fan and is not that keen on Stoner. You can give him any bike and he'd get it near the front and somehow not crash it even though he's pushing it harder than it can be pushed. When people are saying things like "Rossi is better cause Stoner retired" or "Stoner isn't as good cause he moans" I think it proves that people struggle to find genuine ways in which Rossi is a better rider.
In my Opinion, Stoner was the Blueprint of a MotoGP Rider....humble, fair and unbelievable fast...a true Natural Talent like Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts sr., Barry Sheene, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan and Valentino Rossi. A true Master on two Wheels!
I say yes...it is possible...because many professionals and fans said the ducati doesn't improve since what, 2010 maybe...they kept declining...it doesn't mean they are getting worst, but other teams improve and the duc just the same, so basically, people will see it as declining...in 2010, stoner always at the front, podium finisher, and pole sitter...and the bike that rossi got was basically just the same with stoner and he cant do anything on it eventhough with millions of money...

I wasn't his fan at all back in the day, but looking back now, it is clear that those were the best days of Motogp ever. Watching just one race with Rossi fighting Stoner (plus some extra action from the likes of Pedrosa, Hayden, Melandri) is FAR more entertaining than watching a whole season in the current era. Both started with dirtbikes as a little kids, both naturally huge talented with whatever they ride/drive, both ready to the top class of their sport at very young age, both walked away at relatively young off their sport after winning the title(Kimi in 2009 age 30, Case In 2012 age 27(but Kimi returned In F1 after few off years)), both loathing the media circus and all the bullshitt other than riding/driving in their Sport..? .. I personally think Stoner is a better rider than Rossi, coming from someone who is a Rossi fan and is not that keen on Stoner. You can give him any bike and he'd get it near the front and somehow not crash it even though he's pushing it harder than it can be pushed. When people are saying things like "Rossi is better cause Stoner retired" or "Stoner isn't as good cause he moans" I think it proves that people struggle to find genuine ways in which Rossi is a better rider.
In my Opinion, Stoner was the Blueprint of a MotoGP Rider....humble,

I say yes...it is possible...because many professionals and fans said the ducati doesn't improve since what, 2010 maybe...they kept declining...it doesn't mean they are getting worst, but other teams improve and the duc just the same, so basically, people will see it as declining...in 2010, stoner always at the front, podium finisher, and pole sitter...and the bike that rossi got was basically just the same with stoner and he cant do anything on it eventhough with millions of money...
he has got very big balls to slide the bike on full lean..respect !!

Casey Stoner utilizzava uno stile di guida molto differente dagli altri piloti di fatti era bravo nel sviluppare a suo piacimento una motocicletta per poi portarla al limite tutto questo dopo tanta esperienza nel mondo delle corse motociclistiche ma prima di lui bisogna ammetterlo fu Valentino Rossi il precursore della autonomia nel perfezionare una moto esempio la scommessa con la YAMAHA M1 nel lontano 2004 vinta grazie a se stesso in primis e al suo team che riuscirono a sviluppare una moto che era inefficiente per poi renderla competitiva...Casey fece la stessa cosa in Ducati quando grazie le sue conoscenze nell'ambito delle corse riuscì a realizzare un miracolo facendo vincere il titolo a quest'ultima casa costruttrice cioè la Ducati...Oggi piloti così sono in via di estinzione direi...
casey era il vero extra terrestre.. guardare la moto gp senza di lui non ha senso.. il miglior pilota di tutti...

I wasn't his fan at all back in the day, but looking back now, it is clear that those were the best days of Motogp ever. Watching just one race with Rossi fighting Stoner (plus some extra action from the likes of Pedrosa, Hayden, Melandri) is FAR more entertaining than watching a whole season in the current era. Pure Marc Marquez bland, dull, boredom these days. No contenders, no contest

Has anyone Else noticed that Casey Stoner is Basically Kimi Räikkönen of MotoGP(or other way around)..? Both started with dirtbikes as a little kids, both naturally huge talented with whatever they ride/drive, both ready to the top class of their sport at very young age, both walked away at relatively young off their sport after winning the title(Kimi in 2009 age 30, Case In 2012 age 27(but Kimi returned In F1 after few off years)), both loathing the media circus and all the bullshitt other than riding/driving in their Sport..?

the only rider who can drift a moto gp bike like he can and not fall into a highside. The only bad thing about Stoner was that if someone took it to him, He didnt like the battle, he moaned and bitched instead of relishing and welcoming the challenge. But he will be sadly missed in moto gp big time.
