Another great video. The clamp is good but you can also get a metal version of it. Its called a Pulex Fixi Clamp. Much stronger and wont break if its dropped. I like to use it with large car sponges instead of cloths to wipe fsg down. Easier to just wring out and re use. All the best. Steve.
Hi Steve wow that sounds great love the idea of the sponge. Saves having to move the cloth about for a dry or clean spot awesome idea 💡 willl have to look that up.
I’ll mention how I price those jobs, think most would charge more than me. I go for £3 a meter for gutter clear on upper gutters and £2 a meter for the lower gutters. Bungalows tend to have gutters on all sides and cover more of the ground so worked out to expensive I felt for £3 a meter. For FSG I charge £2 a meter and for gable ends and lower FSG £2 a meter. Play around with those for pretend quotes and see how you get on. Then adjust from there mate to see what feels fair for you.
You guys worked hard that day. I hope you charged good money for the gutter clears. I don’t know how you do FSG with a swivel on the brush. I have to have it fixed and use a different to shape brush.
I do the same with a swivel neck. It was frustrating at first, but I was getting fed up with changing the gooseneck between jobs. You get used to it, and to be honest, I prefer using the swivel now for everything. Only tricky part to clean with a swivel is the finials on conservatory roofs. Great work, as always guys.
Cheers Matt probably not charged what some do lol 😂 You get used to the swivel neck for the FSG. It’s one of those 50/50 situations some things are good, some are not. But for me the good outweighed the bad points.
Cheers mate, like you it was frustrating at the start but I’m glad I got used to it. Great to move the brush to detail fine points. Like the clips to get rid of the algae. Can be tricky but the more you do it the easier it gets. Saves putting the pole up and down.
I use a swivel on gfs too. The unger clamp thing looks good, do you know what it's called? I normally wrap a microfibre round brush and use a spring clamp. Weird getting better suction from geny as the vac has a 13A fuse on both. Can you swap Mathew's broken section for the one in the gutter camera pole, that way you just get 1 flexi section the rest are as normal? Great to see the gutter empties.
Hi Ched glad someone else likes using the swivel gfs and not just me lol 😂. The green clamp is called Unger FIXI Clamp, handy to put cloths in to detail awkward windows when trading but I use it for the gfs too. So will come in useful else where mate. I can hear the motors sounding more powerful from my genny compared to mains electric. Wish I thought about using a section off the other pole probably would have worked, but waiting for the new one to arrive now.
Your unger fixi clamp puts me to Shame , I’ve just tied a scrim toner my brush with a what knot in the past , your method looks more professional! Looks a worthwhile day, Sod’s Law about the pole snapping , all the best 👍🏻
Hi James mate, new section arrived so Matthew is happy to have the lighter like back 😂 The fixi clamp is handy but we do whatever needs doing to get the job done. Used to have a cloth or n my brush but decided I needed a better solution.
Had to work a Saturday because of the cold spells. What we call a gutter day for you. How has the cold spell effected you?

Such a good job with the gutter clears. Would be cool to get an idea on pricing for each job. Love the content. 👍
