Love it! I miss the days when working on air was this much fun. I still have a good time today, but not like we did in the 70s & 80s.

Where's Paul Berlin-Houston? He goes WAY back to Elvis' first promo! Cousin Brucie & Pat St. John are still on Sirius XM, ch. 6! Love them & Crash Phelps...CAN'T hear my oldies anywhere else anymore!

I would guess Ron Chapman (who you saw very briefly) was the highest-paid of the bunch. #1 in the morning drive-time slot for many years. Bought a home on the ResidentSea when he retired. (Look it up.)

At the time, maybe? But Howard Stern made an appearance near the beginning. Also, Larry Lujack didn't have any holes in his shoes by the time he established himself at WLS.

@@mikesasser5545, yes, Stern was eventually better paid, no doubt. But by then, he wasn't what you'd call a disc jockey, just a TV/radio personality.

@@mrblanche That's a fair point. The same for Don Imus, I assume. If the hype is to be believed Larry Lujack made bundle doing morning drive at WLS in the late 70s. Regrettably, I'm not familar with Ron Chapman. Where did he work (primarily)?

@@mikesasser5545, what was then KVIL in Dallas, the #1 station in the Metroplex in the morning drive slot. I guess you'd have to time-adjust the pay for all of them. I didn't see any of the people I knew from KIMN, Denver 95 when I was growing up.
