FYI - the marriage track is how I won the game in the final round of our last game. So I would say it’s critical. Allowed me to have control in every region. I was in last place but timed marriage track and church track from turn 3.
Nice review, Luke! I think I will like this one. The most intriguing part for me is the decision of intentionally losing a trick...similar to losing a bid in Furnace for resource acquisition or an action. I makes for interesting decisions spaces. My one complaint is the yellow chits on yellow locations on the board.. difficult to see? I almost wish they used spires or cones or a different shape to place on those spots. Either way, this games looks fun and I can't wait to try it!
What are the brown cards? I don't think I have them in my copy. I think game length will drastically go down if players know the game well. I also think the princess of Denmark will be very powerful if you know how to prepare for her.
Nice overview and review! I'll definitely be looking for an opportunity to play Brian Boru.
Hochkonig von Irland is German, my guess to save on printing different boxes.
yes it is :)

Nicely done! It's hit and miss whether that marriage turns the tide for anyone or not.
:) Cryptid: Urban Legends? We'll be in touch!
Can't wait!!

It's a nice unique take and I favour some innovation these days. And yes, yellow on yellow was commented on! :P
Another great, balanced review! Thanks.
Glad you think so!!

Dark red? The Viking cards
Brown cards relate to how many viking tokens you add each round.
@@TheBrokenMeeple ah, thx, I thought they were red ^^
Sad to see the 5 player count is rated lower.
It's not bad, but it's more chaotic.
Another great review, but still no for me. theme is to boring
