    You're definitely onto something here. With 8 or 10 Festools I've grown to hate Systainers but UA-cam content providers such as yourself have convinced me that I'll love them when I can pull them out and push them out of my road.

    Great idea. I love the idea of keeping everything in Systainers for protection and for the super slim chance that I'll be working offsite. It also feeds my OCD. I'm glad that you used the full shelves instead of just the new style that don't allow the boxes to open unless they're pulled out.

      Thanks! My middle SysBENch uses the new style drawer slides. I'm a fan of the Sys-AZs for sure - makes retrieving/storing a breeze. I think the new drawer slide system is better for mobility and not as much for shop use. The plans I'm selling are for the SYS-AZ drawers, not the new style slide measurements (different than SYS-AZ). I really dig the style of the bench as well.

      @@BenMarshallDesigns you nailed it. I'm looking at converting a bare Transit to a combo camper and mobile work van so the Festool rails are the way to go. I started off working towards Milwaukee Packout but they have zero elegance to their setup whereas I can use Sytainers for clothing and food storage just as well as I can store tools.

    Very thought through design to support your work flow (and dust cleaning). As a Festool user over many years, I have learned many useful tricks from your videos.
    I am using both Festool's drawers and home made drawers with push to open slides and like the push to open better the Festool drawers in a stationary design. One advantage is that home made drawers could be made to double (systainer) depth which would give you easy accessible storage for two systainers per drawer. You can never get enough storage space for Festool systainers. 😀

    That was good. That was very good. Extremely detailed & concise. You have the benefit of a concrete (type) wall, so am curious about the approx weight of each sysBENch without systainers & tools. I'm also looking at using mft style tops instead of ply, as I already have them. Due to the weight, does it have to be wall mounted, or is there a way (additional info) to floor it & secure to the wall (wooden studs)?

    • @BenMarshallDesigns
      @BenMarshallDesigns  2 роки тому +1

      Although I don’t have a scale to measure it, I’d rate it 6/10 on back pain, and a 9/10 on solo awkward installation 😆 have a tire jack REALLY helped out and made it easier. It’s about 1.5 sheets of 18mm ply. I’d say it’s close to 100lbs

      I have the Fuji Q5 platinum. I’ve had it for a few months and will review it probably This summer depending on my schedule. It’s been a great sprayer so far, still learning the ins and outs of spraying as I used to roll and tip all my projects.
